McFarlane DC Multiverse

Batwing sold out on Amazon, BBTS and EE before I could get my pre-order in as I was in a meeting. I ended up having to order through McFarlane Toy Store. Ugh. I wasn't interested in the other two.

I’m just curious, how deep would you guys go on a line of Monsterverse figures from Todd? With or without a DC character attached? Including Pacific Rim. Maybe.

It’s been decades for me since I even remotely followed this stuff. I was trying to remember the other monsters names. I looked up Kaiju on Wikipedia and found that there are dozens of these media monsters spread throughout all aspects of Asian culture that have spread across the globe. I simply wasn’t aware past Ghidorah, Gamera, Rodan, and the like.

Only one of these I got was Flash/Titano. Simply because Titano is part of the DCU. I really wouldn’t mind seeing a few more of these oversized deluxe figures if they’re part of DC. But unlike Marvel, DC doesn’t really have that many.
Honestly, I wouldn't bother with Todd's monsterverse figures. Too many great companies like Hiya make kaiju that actually have articulation for me to waste my money on Todd's statues.

There are a few of these I've wanted to buy lately just to round out my McF Justice League, but they always sell out so fast. I will not miss McFarlane having this license.

Batwing and Troika went up and are already dated for Saturday at EB Canada.

Also told (but unofficially) Wonder Woman and even Spoiler are due in Store, dated for Saturday.

Todd with the crazy preorders.

Some of the new figures are up at figurineforall.com, including some chases.

Edit: I've ordered from them multiple times and have had no issues. They are legit.

If it was CMD, no problem. But I’ve never heard of this company and Google gave them mixed reviews. I may regret it later, but I couldn’t pull the trigger. Had the whole form filled out and everything.

Are they a seller you've had luck with in the past? Steve Trevor's the only figure coming up I'm a bit stressed about finding.

I just did a pre-order on GameStop for the three. I especially love the Kenner throwback for Azreal.

If they do Tiamat, I’m definitely in. I really enjoyed JUSTICE LEAGUE/GODZILLA/KONG, but now that I’ve got the two main characters from both universes, everything else is “wait and see”

To address the poster who was dismissing McFarlane’s Monsterverse in favor of HIYA,
all I can say is to each their own. I’ll take something with some shelf presence with limited articulation over an overpriced miniature that can do the moonwalk.

Gotta say, I'm getting more and more excited about Mattel getting the DC license. In the last week, there have been three waves (or whatever Todd calls them) that have gone on sale, with each having multiple platinums only available if you order the case or from international retailers. The cases sell out in like a minute on EE, and the platinums go up at random times on CMDStore and are almost always sold out. Very much hoping Mattel's new DC line is more like Marvel Legends where almost all figures are easily available through most retailers. I can't remember the last time I struggled to order a newly solicited Marvel Legends figure. Even the SDCC and exclusive ones are easy to get if you are a premium member with Hasbro Pulse.

Most of Mattel’s offerings are sold directly through Walmart or Target and distribution has been known to be very hit and miss. So no, don’t expect finding DC figures to get any easier with time. Whatever inconsistencies you have experienced with MoTU and Jurassic World; that’s going to be your baseline
