What is your most recent deal, or "steal" on toys?

I finally found a Wal-Mart with Sectaurs at a clearance price of $15. They might have sold me on picking up some of Nacelle's upcoming Star Trek figures because I felt these were better than expected. Odd choice of them designing a figure that is about 95% old school and then adding double jointed knees that are reminiscent of an import design.

My LCS is about to do a massive inventory, as they were purchased by a larger company (still local though). As a result, they're having a huge sale, with many of their figures slashed to prices I can't pass up. This weekend I scored the Boss Fight Red Sonja for $27! The store had only ordered one of her, and I couldn't believe no one else had snagged her at that price.

That is a nice price.

WOW!! That is a great price, and yes surprising it wasn't already gone.

This won't help anyone but it is a reminder of how goofy Walmart can be. Ran over to my closest store tonight to grab a couple things and found Kit Fisto on the retro Revenge of the Sith card in the clearance section marked $15. Wasn't really planning to grab him but at that price the retro-ness was too hard to resist.

Yeah that is a good price. I just recently found that wave up here at my local Walmart (apparently one of the first sightings in Canada). It's always a good day to find something new already on sale/clearance.

Just got VC Mando for like $11 bucks, which is the price I feel like all vintage collection figures should be at. Also got spin master's Aloy for like $40, which is not really a deal but where I live, she's usually far more expensive so it feels like a win to me!

Woman in my neighborhood was dumping a bunch of Figma on Marketplace for $25 each. She didn't even label them Figma, just said "video game toys".

I picked up Prime 3 Samus (a grail), Dread Samus, Dva, Pharah, and Widowmaker for $20 each.

She did not seem to know what she had, and I feel like her partner may have made a grave mistake that lead to this, but... $20 Figmas.

Holy hell! That's some awesome bargains. I've had a passing interest in finding a Samus to represent the original NES game. That one looks like it might work but I don't want it bad enough to pay fair market price.

Friend had gifted me Zero Suit from their collection a while back, and I always wanted one of the Prime figures so I can do no helmet head swap.

So happy to be able to do it, because yeah, that aftermarket is gross.

I posted in the Star Wars TV/movie thread that I recently introduced my 7 and 5 year old girls to Star Wars starting with A New Hope. They liked it.

At a toy swap this past weekend I bought a 1999 Princess Leia Portrait Edition 12" figure (doll) for $15. Knowing that there is virtually nothing 90s Star Wars that was not heavily produced, I have no doubt that I paid exactly what she is worth. Still, this was a good buy because my girls cannot get enough of it. She has a "pretty dress" and "pretty braids" in her hair. My oldest asked me today if it can be theirs instead of mine. Being that I bought the thing with them in mind, I said yes. I will say that this was the most frustrating figure to take out of the package that I have ever owned. I'm convinced it was never meant to be removed.

So ToySnowman had a one day Canada Day sale for 15% off all in stock items. However there were some items already on sale and it seems the one day sale stacked the discounts to a great degree for some items. I managed to get:

Star Wars TVC: VC245 "Wandering Jedi" Obi-Wan and VC297 Ahsoka from Ahsoka for $5Cdn each.

Hiya Toys 4" GI Joe: Beach Head, Flint and Firefly for $10Cdn each.

Nice little score.

I almost bought an Obi-Wan, myself. I don't even collect 4" Star Wars. In fact, I mostly don't collect anything 4" anymore since I dropped Boss Fight. But some of those deals at TS were awesome. I didn't do it, though. I don't need to talk myself into entirely new collections. That's for sure.
Was disappointed that even at 15 percent off, TS is basically charging the same for Joes and Star Wars as I can get them for at EB Games and oftentimes even at Amazon. TS really needs to up their game.

Yeah being in Ottawa I usually stick with DJC Collectibles because I can do local pick up and skip the shipping cost. However I find that TS does have some great deals from time to time. However I can give the little guys a bit of a break due to the fact they are independent operators.

EB Games though is getting crappier by the day it seems. No more free shipping at any price, $5 Fridays are apparently gone, though people are reporting seeing some individual items for $5 from time to time. Then, of course, rumours that the Edge program will end and who knows what will replace it. Whatever it is probably won't be as good.

I don't really do much collecting in the 4" scale anymore, but for such a cheap price I decided to see what the deal is with Hiya Toys' Joe figures. They look really good, but not sure they are worth the full retail price. Which I know is higher due to being imports from Asia. And of course $5 TVC figures are good fodder to have on hand if I don't have a place for them.

I would have been all over those Hiya Joes for the same reason. I have a small JoyToy/Acid Rain collection they'd probably fit in with very well.
