Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

I love that they're making up the space in the package of the small guys with big accessories. Also, that Werewolf is an INSTABUY!

Decided to go all-in, which was a surprise for me. I thought before the reveals I would pick up the monster and maybe one or two characters, depending on what was offered.

The first figure interested me as a good generic Viking. The female knight not as much but liked the head and torch. I was initially thinking a gnome wouldn’t be something I was interested in but he ended up being my favorite of the wave! The inn accessories maybe a close second or tie. The orc is probably my least favorite of the wave, just not really into orcs but I’m curious to check out that 3.0 body. The fox isn’t really my thing either but love the fire pit and want to see more with this new imp body. I’m disappointed the polar bear doesn’t have a snarling head and they just repainted the grizzly one. I get there’s costs involved but that seems like something that should have been in the plans from day one, especially since the story has him battling the werewolf. I do like the werewolf very much but wish all of the amor was removable. The shins and waist being the only non removable parts is fine though.

The storyline of this wave was really strong and fun. That may have helped sway me to the all-in rather than picking and choosing. Minor gripes aside this is one of their strongest waves in a while!

I haven't hit "buy" yet but I do think this'll be the first all-in since... man, I can't even remember how long it's been. Usually I cherry pick and then have regrets and order a few others on BBTS or stalk them on eBay but I'm only on the fence about the orc, and with the nominal discount for all-in it's worth picking him up. This just hits all my favorites - werewolves, vikings, unmasked faces for human hero characters, unrealistic options for mounts, orcs, fun lil guys, and accessories as set pieces. The only thing I DON'T like about this wave is the wait.

Well, now I'm mad all over again that the only SAGA figures we ever got were some brittle McFarlane figures at a weird scale and some Funko Pops.
Those figures were horrendous. I think I paid nearly $70 for them. Considering when they were made, they're on a shortlist of the worst action figures ever. There was no excuse for toys that bad in the mid-2010s.

I'm still in the market for good Saga figures. Unfortunately, they aren't coming.

I didn't realize it was two fucking years from solicitation to release. That's nutty.

On the upside, their OTHER "snowy scenario set with a giant honking bear" will be shipping next, so we'll get some vikings and barbarians and stuff some time this year. But yeah, Mythic Legions don't ship later, they ship IN THE FUTURE.

Those SAGA figures were some of the worst figures I've ever owned. I mean I DO have Lying Cat on my desk to this day with the little "lying" dialogue bubble, but that doesn't make up for the fact that the action figures were pure, undiluted garbage.

Sounds like the blue orc is the least interesting figure for many of us. I am glad there's a v3.0 body though. Will be interesting to finally see some double-elbows, butterflies, and mid-torso articulation (they're calling it waist swivel but it looks more like a ribcage cut/ball) in the line.

While this wave doesn't blow me away, there's lots of goodness in it. Viking guy looks good, but I dislike his alternate head which looks more Far East than Far North. Girl has a good head sculpt, and she has a cool-looking new sword. Gnome is neat. I hadn't considered them making figures this size, and height variety in the line is going to be fantastic. Barrels and mugs are an interesting idea can work with multiple lines. I don't really need a rainbow variety of orcs, but I'll eagerly await the v3.0 body being used for green orcs, even though I already have way too many orcs. Polar bear doesn't blow me away since it's yet another bear, and the GIJoe Classified line also has a polar bear landing any day now. And this polar bear is at least 18 months away. Fox guy is one of my favorites in the wave. Love his head sculpt. Werewolf looks really good. So many werewolf figures have come out over the last year or two. And with the upcoming NECA Howling one and this guy, we're in for even more werewolves in the future.

Is the William you all are referring to "Veteran William" from Fury Planet/Maestro? I'm kind of on an eternal quest for THE perfect werewolf for my 1/12 collection. I have the COO Model werewolf in both colors cos I caught them at super discount on BBTS a few years back and I quite like them, but they're a lil on the small side--honestly one works well for a werewolf by night stand-in, a bit on the human size, but I'm on the hunt for an upgrade.

Huh. Either I didn't see these or I repressed them after the Alana/Marko pack pissed me off. I might have to scoop up The Will just for Lying Cat.

I love the werewolf. I already have one of Loose Collector's beefy boys, but an orge scale werewolf works for me.

I also love the fox, I just wish he weren't in armor. Some smaller ranger type leather armor would have been cooler IMHO.

The Will figure is also terrible but lying cat, just as a decoration (she has almost no articulation because McFarlane) is kinda fun.

That's the one. I have the original release. Friend has the recolour in white. Solid werewolf. Cool customization options.
