Snow C.A.T. Live!

Crap… I have no interest in the base tier of this, but Lady Jay, Flint, and the camping gear would look great with a Yeti figure. (Fried Eggs are obviously Yeti bait!) Maybe if this hits its goals I’ll back and just take my chances trying to sell the vehicle and Frostbite later to make some money back because damn, the stretch goals are cool…
Will. You. Stop it?! I don't want this! I don't want this to face off against Loosecollectors upcoming Yeti! I don't want to spend around $450 for both.

I haven't caved yet, but this is an incredible offering that I will likely get.

There’s a decent chance the 4 Horsemen are also doing a Yeti so I don’t think you’ll have a lack of options there.

Where do people put all of their Haslabs once they have them? Do you have room?
So far all I've got is the big daddy Sentinel. He was living in a Detolf but when I moved I got rid of those and now I'm likely going to put him in a single-wide Ikea Billy bookshelf. More stable (I never liked that the detolfs had no outer rigid skeleton, always seemed precarious with my cat) and I can mount stuff to the inside to make a full diorama if I want.

For the Snowcat you could use a double-wide Billy and it would *just* fit. Otherwise your display options for it will get expensive real fast.

I love my Billy bookcases. I mean, they're not as sturdy as something you'd buy for three times as much at a different furniture store, but for what they are they are very sturdy and look great. Highly recommend them over Detolfs (I have a long history of complaining about Detolfs - I don't think they're good for a lot of reasons both functionally and aesthetically).

But I think something like the Snowcat is going to display best from an angle, rather than looking directly head-on at the front or side. Which means it's going to require some serious shelf depth. I genuinely have NO idea how I'm going to display it except by making vroom vroom noises outside in front yard during winter.

Everything looks better at an angle. Or, as Frasier puts it, "askew!". Made a gif for the occasion:

Definitely display the Haslabs askew per Fraiser.

Is it just me or should Hasbro at least have included an extra hand for each of the figures designed to hold their thermos or coffee cup?

I don’t have room for the CAT but that doesn’t seem to stop me from buying anything these days. This was my first vehicle also, and while as a kid I kinda regretted how mission specific it was, I can see they put a ton of effort into this to make it a worthwhile purchase. I’ll find the room. More stuff needs to go into storage anyway (not like I have much storage space left either).

Which means it's going to require some serious shelf depth.
I display on Billies too, and I have the concept of a plan. It's still waiting for some furniture to be moved around, but I have a half-height Billy waiting in the wings to go in front of a full height one. According to the numbers, the shelves should line up and create 2-3 deeper shelving areas at the bottom including a kind of display table on the top.

As for this HasLab itself, I was never going to be in for an arctic vehicle because I just don't like environment-specific toys like Snowjob or Torpedo. But I do like a good half-track, and if this somehow gets turned into a green HAVOC II, I'd be down.

Wonder if this will beat the fastest funding record the Hiss set? Over 50% backed now!

I plan to leave LJ and Flint in full arctic gear, including their heads. The uncapped heads will be donated to previous LJ and F figures.
