McFarlane DC Multiverse

I've actually had Power Girl for a while now, but haven't taken her out of the package because of the height issue. I probably will eventually, but for now I don't know what to do with her. She seems like an 8-inch scale figure in a 7-inch scale line.
Flight stand to the rescue.

If you collect McFarlane figures, you accept that there is little to no consideration of scale. Even the scale on their Super Powers figures are all over the place.

Yeah old-school stats for Batman were 6’2”, 210, but modern stats are more 6’3”, 240. Difference between a “Neal Adams build” and a “Jim Lee/Greg Capullo build”.
I do prefer a bulkier Batman, myself.
And yeah. Superman should be juuuuust a bit taller and, like, beefier. Superman would be less “cut” and more like leaned-out powerlifter than a bodybuilder. Batman would be like an MMA fighter with absolutely maximum muscle mass while still staying fast and quick.

I do think on her own Power Girl is one of McFarlane's best female figures in the line, but yeah... I see her as pushing six feet, with Clark a few inches more, but would have zero issue with them being on eye level. Barda should tower over Superman. I'm not really even a stickler for height accuracy with action figures unless it's cannon that they are significantly big or small (like Barda, or, say Wolverine of course).

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we got Scott and Barda in this line and they ended up the same height given how wonky it is about that stuff, where Scott absolutely should be the little spoon.

Scott and Barda were the same height in DCUC. Barda was taller in DCD.

Can’t say I’m overly concerned about a few MM of height or the wrong shade of gray, or the wrong belt insignia anymore. I’m more concerned with how much longer Todd has. It’s been postulated that he could be done in December. Or December 2026. No one that knows is saying. Pursuant to that is what character selection will we get to in the next six to eighteen months? I wanna see as much product from Todd as is possible before Mattel takes the reins again.

Much more casual in the line, but right there with ya.

The week after the Fourth of July is Amazon Prime week. Haven’t heard if Todd’s offering anything or not.

And preorders for a bunch of NFL figures went up today. You can also buy UFC figures in the official UFC shop now.

I finally saw the endcap at Walmart that I've heard people talk about. I got Hawkgirl & Red Lantern Guy Gardner. I picked up some other figures at Target as well. I still can't find the Spin Masters Metamorpho & Hawkgirl.

Went to both Target and Walmart today, no McFarlane Superman movie figures in sight. If they were at Walmart on some hidden endcap, it was extremely well hidden. Meanwhile, Spin Master Superman movie figures are in abundance and all characters are available without the chase. McFarlane could make the best damn figures in the world (they don't) but it doesn't matter if you can't buy them.

That may not be a Todd thing, that might just be a Walmart distribution from the warehouse thing.
My store is going through a remodel, and electronics got a redo, where the collectibles section seems to have shrunk and there's been no McFarlane product of any sort since the stuff that was there got marked down to clear it out.

When checking your Walmarts, walk through the entire electronics section. The Superman figures/display is not necessarily in the collectible section with the other figures. I found it near collectibles, but distinctly not in with them.

I work at a Walmart and my store does NOT have that display right now. I am 100% sure of that.

Ordered Jim Gordon on Ebay for 36 bucks, was kind of annoyed at myself, got an "in stock alert" from Walmart, started kicking myself... but it was a reseller selling Gordon for 38 dollars via the Walmart site. Walmart Walmarting again, as usual.

Unfortunately, it is a recurring theme, I don't see many new McFarlane waves on local shelves. I'd be more than happy to just order online (as I do with most collectibles), but the fact that 50% of the line is chase figures or "in store only" makes that all but impossible. So, I get that the general availability of product is not entirely in McFarlane's (or any other toy manufacture's) hands, but the inability to order product online is entirely on McFarlane Toys.
