Mezco One:12

Mezco just dropped a "Collector's Capsule" release of their Shadow action figure, which you can order here. At a whopping $175, it's the same figure they released last year with some accessory swap outs, a giant smoke effect, more black added to the costume, a completely blacked out portrait, and a bunch of little collectors pack ins like a silk screened poster and a replica of the girasol ring.

I've loved this character since I was 6 years old and the kind librarian in my neighborhood turned me on to the old radio dramas when I'd hang out there. Last year's release is probably one of my top 10 if not top 5 figures in my collection. That said I'm passing since there's nothing here that's so different it warrants the price tag for me. But if you missed out, the original release is going for around $300 on the aftermarket, so $175 is a lot better in comparison.

I was cashing in rewards points and by the time I completed my order, it now reads as a waitlist order in my history (was available when I started).
Dammit. I guess I'll see if it converts like my monster hunter Doc Noc eventually did.

Did it still cash the points out, or are they still banked?

Anybody bite on Agent Gomez 1975 today? Was kind of annoyed he was $125 but thought it was a cool enough version with the afro and all— then I was hit with a $26.50 shipping charge in checkout and said screw it. What a joke.

Thought about it as I do love Gomez, the skateboard is sick and up my alley, and my dad clued me onto Shaft in high school.

But that price hurts even before I convert it to maple money.

I can't dig it, even for the black private dick who is a sex machine to all the chicks.

I got one. I don't really care about the afro, so I'll likely be swapping the head with something else (possibly one of the skulls from the 4 pack of skulls they had a while ago).
I love the outfit and the rest of the gear more.

Looks really cool, but I'm hoping it can be purchased without the figure but I know that's highly unlikely.

This may be a weird off topic thought to pose here, but since Mezco did eventually do an upgrade to their very old Nemo figure, I wonder if they'd ever think of trying again for that cryptid line they started. The articulation was awful, but the Mothman and (unreleased) Nessie designs were pretty slick.

I didn't even know they did a cryptid line. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. And that vehicle is so cool! I'm not really a vehicle guy, but that would look great with my Operation Monster Force guys.

I believe it goes up tomorrow, but no word on pricing is there?
