Operation Monster Force

I think the Order of St Joan figure is more Warrior Nun Areala - though she's showing less leg than the comic character - than anything else. I want to hear some of their lore for her though.

And a look at the sketch for Johnny Spectre looks like he's a ghost... that nebulous hand is interesting... I'm intrigued.

The Betty Page Rocketeer face sculpt looks...well...something. Hopefully it looks better painted. But I like the concept of the figure.

The Crime Syndicate guys may be the most fun for me. Is there a boss for them? Either way, they should look good with Kingpin and Tombstone.

Dammit... I was talking myself out of those guys and then you dropped the Marvel henchmen angle... and sonuva bich

The complete interchangeability across all their lines is so cool to me. Like you want your guys to have goons? Well here’s tons of different suit bodies in various colors and here’s dozens of different heads you can swap onto them so none of your goons have to look the same.

I sort of disregard greyscale digital images. They're just too far from the final to glean anything useful.

As for the Circuit Syndicate, no boss shown yet, but they are prime-time goon fodder. I love that between them, Monster Force, and Soldiers of Fortune you'll have a lot of generic goon options covered with these lines with minimal mixing and matching.

Edit: actually, I just realized, I already have a boss for the Circuit Syndicate... CYBORG SANTA! It's perfect!

Oh yes. OH YES. This is the way.

And even more fun, take those mecha heads and drop them on something like the Delta Red troops, or the Soldiers of Fortune Spy bodies. You could make some really outlandish original characters. I'm glad they're releasing a head pack too for this very reason.

The price tag is a bit of a barrier, but universal parts feels so fun. Got some extra hooded heads from your Crimson Moon cultists? Maybe there's an agent or officer who wants to join. Want to mix and match zombie body parts to create unique zombies? Do it! Literally anybody can be a werewolf. I looked at Harker's sports bra, and the first thing I wondered is if I could swap in Seeke's torso.

I mean, not for $40*, but I like that it's physically possible.

I almost bought Maj. Noir  just for the face sculpt because I liked it so much and knew I could use it somewhere else. Same with Agent Carter. Who doesn't want a universally usable monkey head with an eye patch? (In fact, I'm imagining just head swapping them and now I'm thinking I really want them again.)

* until they release a shirt and tie female. Then she's getting the full Desi Lydec.

Yeah... this line has a lot of the same appeal that Mythic Legions has had - release of new fun characters but with tons of mix and match swappability to rig up your own ideas and creations. Both lines rely on a ton of reuse of parts in different decos with plenty of unique pieces as well.

Its the kind of thing that works really well when you are building factions, whether its knights and goblins or soldiers and spies.

I never dove into Mythic Legions so deeply, but this line (these lines) push a button that I find irresistible.

Ha, I almost forgot about the monkey heads. Those would be fun to have around to stick on random figures.

Speaking of zombies and werewolves, if there’s anyone who wants some zombie and werewolf parts, I’m just buying the Crimson Moon Legionnaire for the containment mask. So I’d be happy to cut a deal for the rest of the figure.

For me the sheer amount of extras these come with is great but the trade off is it makes them really cost prohibitive for army building. I’d like to see some barebones troop figures that we could use some of the extras from the other figures to kit out. $20ish figures with a stand and a single accessory would do really well I think.

This is a solid idea... and once more of these come out and the tooling is all there I do think that would be an excellent idea. They pack in so much swappable parts and gear it would be nice to have some cheaper bodies to swap it all on to.

I mean that’s what Soldiers of Fortune was supposed to be until it wasn’t

To be clear, are you just offering up the werewolf head and hands, or are you literally harvesting the one head you want and offering up the figure? If it's the latter, I'm interested... but if its just the head and hands I don't need that - I'm going to have tons of those already...
