Marvel Toys on Sale

I have zero extra space so I don't collect MCU, but Hasbro sure does some good sculpts for them.

The summer purge is underway at Target. Among all the clearance tags that sprouted up at my closest store yesterday, I spotted Rom wave Iron Man down 30% to $17.49 and Miles Morales down 15% to $21.49. Strangely, Banshee was still at full price.

The retro Charles Xavier was also 30% to $17.49.

Yeah, grabbed a Charlie for those generic fatigues. Trying to think of a good General Ross head before the Monster Force one comes out.

DC Direct Hush Commissioner Gordon, if it’s not too small for that body.

Just picked up Ultimate Iron Man (mini comic wave) at Target for 12.50. Miles and Banshee still scanned at regular price.

In your opinion, was the Mini-Comic wave a success or failure? Not as far as the quality goes or value for the price (I'm sure everybody'd rather have an inch-long piece of plastic than a BAF piece), but as far as whether sales were good enough that they'll continue to do mini-comic waves?

Hard to tell. I think most of the characters were popular enough, and haven’t really stuck around pegs by me. I’ve only seen them at Target (never the full wave, always Adam and Daken not present) and GameStop. I think based on character selection, people were pleased. I think based on sculpt, people weren’t thrilled with body reuse. UIM and ROM were absolute winners. I think the mini comic gimmick pissed pff plenty of people though. Not a very practical accessory. Personally, I wouldn’t be opposed to one more wave.
