G.I. Joe Classified Series

Was it confirmed anywhere we're getting a livestream this wednesday?
I don't think so... But I don't know if last weeks was either until the day before or something. I can't remember.

I was looking on the classified reddit for the first time in a month before remembering why I don't really go there, but one guy posted he got Mindbender for Oh Daddy Day.

For Canadians - Action Sailor is on Amazon right now for 25 bucks -- almost 50% off.
Thanks. Caved and bought another one. Can't go wrong with a deluxe for $10 less than a regular release.

For our American friends the usual price for a deluxe Classified figure is around $52Cdn (before tax) which is a little over $38US. While regular releases are $35/$36Cdn (before tax0 which is around $26US. Now that is with today's exchange rate. A couple months ago it was worse.

Now c'mon Amazon and drop the Stinger price. You did it for the Americans, how about us next?

I'm sure other people already know about stuff like this, but when I, who know nothing about guns, tried to figure out what random rifle I stuck in Gung-Ho's hands yesterday, I found that of course someone had put a lot of effort into matching up which guns come with which figures. I actually don't care about accuracy or realism (I mean my favorite guys are the ninja, the laser guy, and the guy with an attack floof sidkick) but I actually found it kinda helpful to be like "oh that one came with THAT guy!"
Now that's a site I haven't seen in a long time. A long time. Thanks for that kick of nostalgia.

Darklon and 3 Fraggers are out for delivery!!
Expect my expanded “file card” bio of Declan “Darklon” McCullen later on.

Spent way too much money this morning on this sale. Or not enough, depending on how I look at it, I guess.

What all did you buy? I'm tempted by v2 Storm Shadow.

Oh and @Justice, funny continuation of our "Complaints General" discussion, I saw a review of v2 Storm Shadow on Amazon where the guy was complaining that the "barrel" (his word) of the bow broke off. When in the photo it's obvious it's just not connected, the peg is there, he could just slide the stabilizer on and it would be fine.

I did not wake up this morning intending to buy a bunch of Joes, but here we are (and thinking of double dipping):

Just opened up Heavy Duty. It's funny, his gimmick is of course that ridiculous rig he comes with, but I'm more impressed with the figure - there's a LOT of new pieces going on here. I think the torso is new? and the legs feel longer too. he's actually more fun out of his rig than in it.

I wish the rig came with some instructions, though. It's BUSY. But I can foresee some on-brand Joes vs. Xenomorphs pics with Heavy Duty holding down the line...

Day got way away from me, so forgive the brevity:
Frag-Viper and Darklon are both top-tier Classified figures, truly excellent stuff. Fraggy’s creepy sci-fi weirdness is on point, Darklon is a truly intimidating, downright scary guy. I’m gonna put a black paint wash on his “new” skull-like helmet to bring out details. He feels like a horror character and I LOVE him.

I was never a Frag Viper fan. I don't get his outfit. Weird beige unitard and a blue sash? Their specialty is lobbing grenades, right? Can't a regular Cobra Trapper do that?

Ditto Darklon. His outfit was just too out there for me.

Granted Hasbro did do a very good job this time around giving each more bells and whistles. Darklon's big ass sword is a neat new addition, and there's added detail to Frag to make him look a bit less dopey. I don't know.....I guess they both look cool enough, I just don't know how they fit with what I got goin on in my collection. But as far as execution goes and adding modern flair to the source material, I'd give both these figures an A.

Footloose and Blowtorch, however, that's a different story. I'm liking all the detail on Blowtorch, the unbuttoned shirt on Footloose fits his personality.

The real winner is Law and Order, with Hasbro pulling out all the stops yet again for a childhood favorite. Can't wait to get him.
