General Marvel Legends

So, as someone who doesn't need the Savage Land ladies, but who did miss on Sauron, y'all who've already got him and are picking up this set keep a fella in mind.
Do you have a preference of the BAF vs the new box set version? I'll be getting the set but don't need two Saurons - I'm thinking I'll probably prefer the new one with his fancy purple shorts.

Looking for a repair recommendation - I was reshuffling my X-Men display and noticed Beast's elbow had gotten a little warped (his forearm is loose) because he'd tilted justa bit and I think the pressure warped the plastic by juuuusst enough to create a gap in the joint. Anyone ever run into this before and know of a fix? I figure I could use that joint-tightening stuff (name's blanking but I bought a bottle a while back), but I was thinking maybe a bit of heat and pressure might squeeze it back into place and remove that bit of space that's made it loose.

(If I can't fix it I'm going to find the lab coat Beast and just put loose elbow Beast in a coat to hide his imperfect arm, but I'm annoyed at myself for not noticing ol' Hank listing to the left in the display for a while.)

Also noticing for the first time just how rough a time black plastic has when it spends a lot of time just hanging out on a shelf. Punk Storm had some slight discoloration on her pants and vest. but she was the only one who had that kind of reaction to the office air. Gotta get better about rotating that shelf, I think.

I'd put it in really hot water (not boiling) and smush it back into shape while the plastic is soft and when you have it right, run it under cold water to "lock" in the corrected joint.

Thanks. Gonna give this a shot. Wondering if the thicker/heavier plastic with Beast will make this work better or worse than on thinner figures (I've definitely done it on the occasional wonky knee on some of those spindly older Legends female bucks or Pizza Spidey bodies).

Looks like X-Factor Jean Grey is getting ready to ship from Target. Also, for those who don't have her pre ordered, she seems to be In Stock for shipping right now on target.com

Mine has shipped. As excited as I am to get her I'd be doubly so if it were the red and yellow version.

I loved this card so much when I was a kid.

Thanks, got one. Hope I can catch Breaker (GIJ) when it hits as well. Jean is my favorite female in comics, so I'm down for any version of her up until 1995 (when I stopped collecting Marvel ;)).

Picked up a Jean today while mine are shipping AND she's a QC issue. Her green mask lines on the cowled head are uneven and for some reason she has a big black mark between her two front teeth. Yay. She also looks really mature for a younger version of this character.

Also, frickin' Hasbro - WHY? Her upper and mid torso are cast in yellow but her pelvis is cast in green - which means the damn yellows don't match! That one extra millimeter of green paint cost that much that they couldn't cast all three main pieces in the same color?

Then, shocker of shockers, the yellow on her thighs is uneven - paint line and coverage. I saw three in person today and all had these same issues to varying degrees, including eye placement.

For a few really bad warp parts, I had success in doing the boiled water, then while its still hot, created a "splint" out of some wooden skewers and used a twist tie to secure it. Once thats done (and still hot), i would run it under cold water to set. The splint helped keep it as straight as possible.
