It's been almost two weeks (just a day short) - time for another wish list!

Today is Friday the 13th - Bring On The Monsters!

Who are your Top 10 single most wanted Monsters and/or Monster-related characters and one 2-pack or multi-pack?

What is a monster? Your definition might be different than my definition.
Is it a malevolent mythological creature?
Is it a frightening looking being that is actually friendly and fights for the common good?
Is it a human that does terrible things?
Is it an alien from outer space or another dimension?
Is it a science experiment gone wrong?
Whatever the term means to you, make your list!

All I ask is that it is ONE character per line for #1 thru #10.
Line #11 is for any ONE 2-pack or multi-pack.

It's your list, who do you want?

1) Lilith Drake - classic look

Ohhh my black heart grew five sizes when I saw this thread!! I love Marvel monsters sooo much, legitimately one of the reasons I stuck with reading comic books was because I found out that there were like a dozen books from the 1970s that were legitimate, serious reads on classic monsters in the Marvel universe. The first comics I ever read with Silver Surfer and Doctor Strange in them were Tomb of Dracula comics. I think I can say that horror/monster comics were my biggest portal into the Marvel universe other than Secret Wars itself. So, like, my Top 10 monsters is really my Top 10 ML wants in general:

1. COUNT DRACULA IN THE STYLE OF GENE COLAN!!!
Heh, I’m sure everyone is tired of me yelling about this one already, but I gotta yell again. This figure has actually NEVER been made (the old one from the boxed set is Neal Adams-based cuz he did the cover for ToD #1), and this specific version of the character is so important to Marvel history and comics history in general. In fact, I dare say that at this point he’s one of the most glaring omissions in the line.

The order is less important after him, but here they are and I want them all desperately:

2. Lilith Drake, Dracula’s daughter. Classic Earl Norem cover version, please.

3. Varnae, Lord of the Vampires

4. Baron Blood (Classic)

5. N’Kantu the Living Mummy

6. Deacon Frost (classic)

7. Manphibian

8. Mephisto (I know he’s rumored but I want to mention him anyway)

9. Satanna (superclassic, original sketch preferred)

10. Satannish

Boxed set: Classic Monsters
-Dracula. Yes again! In his goatee/puffy-shirt 80s look when he fought Thor and the X-Men.
-Monster of Frankenstein
-Simon Garth, Zombie
-Werewolf by Night, the 80s wolf-head version assuming the classic version is coming as rumored

Yes.

To everything and anything Marvel monster. In a heartbeat.

But to do this justice. I’ll be needing a few lists:

Top 10 single 6 inch monsters:

Colan Dracula
Living Mummy
Werewolf by Night
Manphibian
The Glob
Simon Garth Zombie
Man Wolf
Baron Blood
Garrokk
Frankenstein

Top 5 deluxe single packs (Dragon Man style)
Mangog
Bi Beast
Orka
Satannish
Devil Dinosaur

And of course, top 10 Haslab scale Kirby behemoths:

Fin Fang Foom
Orrgo
Goom
Googam
Groot (villainous original)
Taboo
Gorgolla
Dragoom
Sporr
Giganto (Mole Man’s monster)

I think that would just about do it…

“It's a perfect night for mystery and horror. The air itself is filled with monsters.”

- Mary Shelly, The Bride of Frankenstein
I love monsters and I love polls. Kismet.
1. Lilith, The Daughter of Dracula
iqmOKcq.jpg

Appropriate for Father's Day, don't ya think?
2. Classic Son of Satan
RiFJI32.jpg

Continuing the totally impromptu Father's Day theme. Daimon Hellstrom will stand proudly on my Defenders shelf.
3. Manphibian
wUNqmxs.jpg

The Creature From the Black Lagoon Manphibian will be a fine addition to a horror shelf.
4. Werewolf By Night
5N9gZDp.jpg

One of my favorites from The Bronze Age.
5. Frankenstein's Monster
wP0SonM.jpg

There's no horror like Bronze Age Marvel horror. Unless it's Universal Monsters horror. Either way, it's damn fine horror.

6. The Bride of Frankenstein
jDzcUXq.jpg

We're all invited to the Wedding. Bring you own torch.
7. Dracula
ek10Tkf.jpg

The Marv Wolfman/Gene Colan/Tom Palmer Dracula was one of the greatest runs on a Marvel comic of all time.

8. Mister Hyde

24hSDIs.jpg

Classic please. He's needed for The Masters of Evil.
9. Zombie
v5byQH8.jpg

Voodoo and Black Magic. So much fun at parties.
10. The Living Mummy
s1sUX4w.jpg

Why was the Mummy so good at his job? Because he was all wrapped up in his work! BWHAHAHAHAHA .... *ahem*. Sorry.
For a box set, how about ...
The U-Foes
oOSyiLU.jpg

They're pretty monstrous.

That was fun. I think I'll go watch Frankenstein vs The Wolfman on the telly.

Man, I didn’t even think to include Hyde and the U-Foes. GREAT choices.
Thank you! It's funny because I just literally watched Abbott and Costello meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on streaming last night. Boris Karloff just killed it in that movie. It reminded me that we still need a classic Hyde in Legends.

And if the boys at Hasbro want to go the Robert Louis Stevenson route, I would be okay with that, too.

Lilith Drake
Gargoyle
Griffin
Mr. Hyde (80s handbook)
Scarecrow
Straw-Man

I think there's only really three that I would want badly enough these days to buy that I would really class as 'Monsters':

Frost Giant
Brood

I'mma use my two-pack spot for a Deluxe:

  • Night Phantom (Iron Man foe who looks like classic Invisible Man)
  • Master Pandemonium (original WCA costume)
