SDCC Exclusive Savage Land 3 pack (Rogue, Sauron, Shanna)

Sure I wanted a Shanna figure. Am I willing to pay $90.00 for her and two unwanted figures? Abso-friggen-lutely not.
Plus that Rogue's face looks horrible.
Come on, boys. That Boxed set is embarrassing.

Last year I made Hasbro my first stop on Preview night and was able to just hop in line and snag the exclusives immediately so I didnt have to sweat it the rest of the show. Definitely planning to do that again.

I do think though they missed an opportunity to release Shanna as a single and make the other pack in something equally relevant like Zaladane. The pack would still sell to X-Men fans bit the people who just want Shanna wouldn't feel violated.
 
Rogue looks like Aimee Lou Wood from White Lotus season 3.
 
I don't hate the sculpt, but it seems like Rogue's face is a tough one to nail down and it spans multiple companies and even scales.
 
Looks like Sauron has new pinless lower body.

I was hoping if they redid Sauron they'd make him scrawnier like the 90s Toy biz toy. Still, I wouldn't hate getting a new one as my BAF has a hard-stuck arm, and this one is a mild improvement.

I'm cautiously optomistic it will be obtainable. Seems like the last few were around a bit (and Death's Head still is on Amazon). I haven't gotten an SDCC exclusive since Hellfire in 2020, but I managed that. Seems to me they've shifted mindset some from "SDCC exclusive with spares online" toward "Pulse exclusive with first availability at SDCC" (like non-special packaging). Still, I think demand for this will be higher than any since Hellfire, so we'll see how the numbers pan out.

Put me in the Savage Land Rogue super-fan category, but I'm not liking the face. Yes, unfortunately I'm getting a big Miley Cyrus hit off of it. Caked-on make up while being stranded in the jungle? Gotta be a first. If I get this I own extra heads of Juggernaut wave Rogue and retro card Rogue, what are the odds they're compatible?

Are Shanna and Rogue sharing an existing buck or is it a new one? I'm guessing this set is $100 minimum, I'm trying to figure out if Hasbro spent a little bit of money making it or none at all.
 
I wanna like it. But I don't like either of those faces. Shannas is better, but still not great. I wonder if one of the other rogue heads match skin tone wise. Also don't need another Sauron. Maybe if I see it on sale. I've managed to get quite a few of the con exclusives later on sale just by waiting. And some of those were even popular ones, like Star Wars.

I don't really have an issue with Rogue's head (it looks better in the boxed images), but the two head sculpts on the girls look so completely different. Not like, "well duh they're different people" but they look like they're from different artists or companies, which is why I think it's kind of odd. Rogue here looks pretty similar to the new X-Factor Jean Grey head sculpt.
 
If any Australians looking to try get this and not interested in Sauron reach out as I’d be interested!….. or anyone willing to ship internationally!?!?

Could have done Zaladane or weren't they rumored to be doing the four-armed Savage Land Mutate Barbarus. Maybe he'll be released as a single around the time this is available.
 
Agreeing that the composition of this pack could be better/more interesting/more on-point, but I reckon, they've always been prudish about certain costumes/looks at retail, I think they know these are two wanted figures, and a SDCC exclusive set probably kills two birds with one stone, so I get their logic. I just hope they make both women available separately later on because I do think they are looked for by a lot of buyers.

Hoping Hasbro does something similar to that BEAUTIFUL Star Wars Visions exclusive from the event in Japan last month. I desperately wanted that but it ended up being pretty easy to get, first through Amazon and then on Pulse and they're going to re-release the Ronin with a different paint app as well.

I have a comic book historian friend who keeps saying "red-headed Shanna or bust" so maybe they release another version of her with more reddish hair from her earlier appearances? Rogue with a different head or hair could be a possibility, too. (I neither love nor hate the head sculpt on this one - but as mentioned already, it does feel like poor Rogue has never had a really spot-on head sculpt yet. (I think Age of Apocalypse might be my favorite?)

So I almost listed a bunch of Savage land Mutates that would have worked... Barbarus, Brainchild, Amphibious, Lupo... but they all seemed like more tooling than Marvel would consider imvesting. I guess Lorlei in her animated series costume would be easy, but probably not intriguing enough to sell a pack like this.

And for people lamenting the head on Rogue, the green and black costume Rogue is like $16 at Amazon and could be an easy head swap... or more involved if you want to swap the hair.
