Is it ok to post here? I feel the kinda guilt you only get when you go to Wendy's every Friday for lunch for a year, but it Lents and McDonalds has a sale on fish filet sandwiches so you cave in and leave the Wendy's line and go across the street to McDonalds. It's a very specific form of guilt.

Anyhoo, I think Sympathizer Slaughter is just a cover story to infiltrate Cobra, meets Mercer, than helps him escape and turn turncoat.
 
Oh. Well shit. I never thought of this two-pack as an “origin of Mercer” kind of thing. That would actually be quite cool.

So.. Im just looking at the entertainment earth ad that has these up for Pre-Order. BBTS still has the old set for sale because they didnt sell out, so it had me wondering... since EE is soliciting a PRE-ORDER with pictures that look different, is this actually an updated, repainted set? Or is it a deceptive ad with a pre-order for old stock being re-solicited? I was hoping someone might know

I kind of look at it like the other guy is a friend who has become more and more flaky over the years. Yes they are still a friend, but they cancel plans, become less reliable, and eventually they ghost you at certain times. During those times you meet a new friend and they seem to be more reliable so you just naturally hang out more and more with them. You don't hold any animosity to the old friend, but you just naturally hang with the new friend because you can rely on them more consistently.

You still hang with the old friend, but not as much.
 
And for those worried about Crystal Ball and Walmart — let's not forget how many clearanced Night Force sets we were all buying (and returning) just a few weeks ago. I missed the preorder and am not concerned in the least about picking him up at some point.

Besides online, I'm hoping the local collector who returns Joes to Walmart ordered an extra Crystal Ball he doesn't need. I found one or two of nearly all the Walmart exclusives in Clearance aisle right after the time they were shipping. If it wasn't for him I might not have bought a retro carded Snake-Eyes.
