SDCC Exclusive Savage Land 3 pack (Rogue, Sauron, Shanna)

It's funny, ever since I started collecting Legends I've been like "I don't need Savage Land Rogue" but this is definitely a case of "BUT ifff they're making her anyway, of course I'm in"

I'm hoping this isn't too big a challenge to get. General vibe I'm seeing is people only want one or two figures from the set, Sauron is the loser.

Looking at the HD pics in the General thread I realized Sauron has hypnosis eyes which makes me think Rogue is supposed to be looking hypnotized, hence the dazed expression?

Which would be cool if she came with an alt good head.

Real curious to see how the pink effect is supposed to be utilized - does it clip onto his eyes?

Yeah, there's one pic floating around where the pink things are attached below his eyes. Hi def pics even show that Sauron has swirly spirals painted into his eyes to evoke that hypnosis power.

Side-note: anyone know why are the photos on MarvelousNews always so lo-res? Not to bust on a free site, it's just odd.

MCU Collector seems to have the best hi res I've seen. That's where I saw the pink effects clipped to Sauron's face.

I’m not surprised at this set, just disappointed. I’m fine with the Sauron I have already, don’t need Savage Land Rogue, and really only want Shanna. Plus, I also hate the stress of dealing with SDCC exclusives. So it looks like Ka-Zar will be flying solo with Zabu in my displays. Shame.
Ugh. Color me disappointed. This is exactly how I feel. My Ka-Zar and Zabu shall forever be lonely. I have never been able to get SDCC exclusive sets. I wish Shanna had been fan channel and this was strictly an X-Men set with Storm instead. I could easily skip with no remorse. Maybe at some point I'll come across Shanna loose for a not too crazy price at a toy show or something but not very likely. I just can't afford a $90 set.:(

I totally understand that. But it doesn't have to be a final cost of $90 forever - if you don't want Rogue, you'll be able to sell her for probably at least $30 if not much higher. Sauron will probably net you at least the same, making the final cost of the set around $40 (tax plus shipping).

So if you can put up $90 at the start, you can make back a large chunk of it within a month and get the figure you want!

You shouldn't HAVE to do this, I agree.

Sauron's head should be turned at Rogue in the box, since she's got the hypnotized face.

This is a time I really wish Hasbro would do face plates - one hypotized face plate, one other expression, same hair/head, just a quick swap! Use her headband as the line.

I didn't *need* to buy Sauron again, but I'm glad they made some improvements. Purple loincloth and a better tail. Effects are neat.

Shanna is a must. Didn't need Rogue, but I'll take her.

Am I misremembering, or have SDCC sets been pretty easy to acquire for a few years now?
