One A Day 2.0 Day #432 - Weapon H

Not opposed to getting Amanda as Daytripper, but I always liked her better as a civilian love interest of Kurt’s. I dislike the trend of dragging every civilian supporting character into the super-powered world as another vigilante or villain. Can it happen, certainly. But it happens way too much, that I’m calling it a trend. Having civilian associates helps ground the super characters, and gives them more relatable stakes to fight for. Is it more relatable to the readers to say “I’ve got to fight to save the world”, or “I can’t let my girlfriend (or other dear one) die”? Many soldiers carry photos of their loved ones into combat. It helps them keep perspective of what they’re fighting for. I feel the trend of turning civilians into other costumed characters is overdone, and lose the relatability.
Anywho, I’ll let you all get back to the thread.
This is L.H. Puttgrass signing off and heading for the tub.

Agree, they seem to be about to do it again with Peter Parker's new relative. I do think Amanda Sefton is a bit of an exception. After all, her mother is Margali Szardos, a powerful sorceress.

Oh crap. I must be getting old. I don't know this character. In any of her identities.
She's been around since X-Men #98 in 1976, and popped up pretty regularly throughout the 80s, so she's not exactly a new character. But until the late 80s she was only ever shown as Nightcrawler's civilian girlfriend.

I'd take Amanda in her Daytripper costume (image 5ish) because that would make the best figure but in my head she's more recognizable as Kurt's blonde civilian girlfriend. And that wouldn't necessarily be the most exciting figure.

I was definitely going to come in and say I'd take a Daytripper figure bit then saw two of the first three comments said it already... I love this place.

Day #432 - Weapon H

Would I buy? Sure, but not a priority
Which version? Spikey

I'm really surprised we don't have this yet.

Someone call Burt Gummer! Mixmaster is loose in the Marvel Universe. 😀
Pass on this one. There’s just too much hybridizations going on in Marvel. It’s just more evidence that there’s a distinct lack of imagination in the Marvel creative staff these days.
