Dan outright said the O13 would be done before the end of the year... I took that to mean in hand, but I guess it could mean pre-order?

I did too, but preorders is a definite. The name reveals will likely be shown as renders at comic con, but that is the final retro wave for 2026.
 
So I want all of these but seeing recent Amazon sales on figs I jumped on the quick preorder with is giving me pause. I want all of these. I’ll preorder a few. I’m confident I’m going to get them all but I’m going to be more frugal.

The biggest surprises are Toxo Vioer and Mistress Armada. Damn those look cool! I’m not against Armada in the purple I’ve seen from comic panels. I’m really digging her uniformity. Best reveal so far to me. She kicks ass. Toxo Viper looks so sleek and gnarly. I dig it!

Now I begin the over-thinking.

I've pre-ordered the HAL and Grand Slam thinking that if they come out with a silver GS and JUMP later, I'll just say the one with the HAL is Flash (I have the laser rifle from the Dragonfly).

But then I actually watched the announcement video from last week and heard them pretty clearly say that Flash was coming, so I started thinking of cancelling the HAL (since it is big and expensive), and just getting Flash when he came out and any future Grand Slam and JUMP when *it* comes out.

But now Flash is a retro release, and I really don't like retro releases. I find the colors too bright and the paints too simple and the sculpts to bland. So I guess maybe now I'm keeping the HAL until I see a render for JUMP or Flash to better compare? I will say that I also hate the cartoon helmets they give the retro figures, but Grand Slam has one of those anyway with the HAL, so I'm going to hate that regardless.
 
Dusty & Sandstorm - I like the look of Dusty but something's off about that dog, maybe it's the legs or something. Either way, I still would have gotten them but that price tag can get tae fuck.

Avalanche Response - I mostly skip all these dudes anyway (bar the wonderful Marine Sniper) but might have been tempted if this guy's deco looked like the similar Doc figure from around the POC era (love me some eye-searing orange). Alas, it doesn't so another pass.

Iceberg - I've been waiting for so long but saw the render and felt disappointed but couldn't put my finger on why...then realised it's the grey. His OG deco was a gorgeous icy fresh green and this just looks so drab in comparison. I'll still pick him up because I love the snow crew but it's a shame they changed it.

Toxo Viper - One of the last figures I picked up back in the day, never really cared for it much (see also the Laser Viper). This actually looks a lot better than I expected but I'm on the fence.

Mistress Armada - Fuck yeah, Day One, no question. That gold mask is fabulous.

Synapse - Eh, gonna have to wait on this one.

Duke - That's it? I was expecting something more, it's pretty boring even by Duke standards. Nee thanks.

Retro Falcon - An animated Falcon is kind of tempting, despite my having no attachment to the movie. Maybe a sales case.

Retro Valkyrie - I'd rather have the Night Stalkers, don't really need another vanilla one.

Flash - Ah-ahhhh, he saved every one of us. Of course I'm Day One'ing his ass.

So yeah, a few I want but personally not the best of weeks really.
 
I always feel funny posting my thoughts on these streams, because I definitely have favorites but mostly I’m just like “yeah I’m buying the hell out of all of these”.

That Toxo-Viper, mmmmmmm yeah baby. Look at that undead noxious precious baby.

And Mistress Armada, looking like she fights in slow motion while an angelic choir sings over hard-rock guitars.

Iceberg is . . . well he’s cool. I’ll get him.

Already in love with Synapse, looks like he’s gonna be some Cronenberg/Gordon wild psychic body horror like From Beyond and I’m here for that.

That Duke is what I am talking about!! Looks like he’s sagging in the saddle a bit, like he’s had the cockiness knocked out of him and now he’s right-sized, gritty and ready to play in the mud. Could be my favorite Duke ever.

Avalanche Response is so cool and wholesome! I love that he doesn’t come with any firearms, and could just be like a cool guy on the mountain doing rescue stuff. Nice to have a rare non-violent entry in Classified.

I’m sorry, but Sandstorm is freaking adorable and I love that he looks like the sweet one while Dusty is the “heavy”. Love this Dusty design and and might steal a spare Desert Scorpion cloak to get him even closer to Pursuit of Cobra.

I wouldn’t say the name-only reveals are *exciting*, per se, but they are all sounding good! Interesting to see how they differentiate the Valkyrie: they mentioned “classic deco”, so . . . Sunbow maybe? I’m curious. Regardless: I love the lady troopers snd I’m ready.
 
I wouldn't mind if the new Valkyries came with a black version of the ammo harness that came with the Marine sniper.

Those appeared, like, a day after the Valkyries and look so much better than the shoulder belts we got.
