Who knows how far this'll go, but it looks like the SZfM folks are doing another run at it. Redeco, and hopefully the classic white spacesuit isn't a stretch.

If these get off the ground, I'd definitely be in for a red one. That body with a black chest piece and black helmet would make for a pretty dang close approximation of the MUTON to go with the BBWS Crimson Moon gang.

More importantly, one of the questions on Instagram is from Ashtalon which made me realize that I haven't seen him on here in a while. Sure enough, he last posted in early March. I wonder what happened?

None that I'm aware of. I sort of expect GI Joe to give us an astronaut eventually, but who knows how long that'll be.
 
I think I'd be in for a zombie. But not multiple. I'd probably just do one of each in white and hopefully pick up a head pack.
 
I'm on record that I do not care about anything zombie related. Ever. It bores the shit out of me in most cases. But if they can keep the cost reasonable, I'd really like a space guy or two. The problem is, they want to include the stupid zombie parts that I don't want or need, and which drive the price up. So... I'll be keeping an eye on this to see how they approach v2.

Yeah, I feel like they should un-mix the heads and give us "clean" astronauts with normal heads and zombie astronauts with all the zombie specific portraits. Gore heads on both I'm fine with, but if I only get one of these it'll be a normal astronaut.

I would argue - perhaps incorrectly but I'm sure people will chime in to tell me if so - that most people are going to display a figure one way.

At retail (or retail adjacent, I guess) you put the various optional parts with the figure because that's the ONLY version of that figure you're doing. There aren't going to be multiple options of Budo, so you include some extra heads and armor bits so collectors can display him the way they want. But most collectors aren't going to be swapping back and forth every few weeks.

But in a case like this, you can literally just offer 'zombie' and 'regular' versions of every character. You're not limited to what you can reasonably put into a case pack for a retail store's shelves. So there's really no reason to include all the extras (and charge more) when most people are buying that figure to display it one way, and if they want to display both they're going to buy two anyway. So just make two different versions. Seems straight forward to me.
