One A Day 2.0 Day #436 - Live Action Captain Americas

Stegron is a huge yes, preferably in his look from War of the Reptile Men! I had that issue as a kid and LOVED it! Spidey fighting Stegron AND the Lizard was too cool!

AND it was Christmas!

AND they were at the Natural History Museum!

AND then they fought at Macy's!

... one of my dark horse favorite Spidey stories of the decade. Certainly one of the ones I reread most.

Definitely want Stegron in Legends! His old Vault figure was very cool. Stegron has such a fun look for a figure. It’s good timing now with all of those 3rd party anthropomorphic dinosaur-men figures out.

Great issue. No question.

I vote very emphatically in the affirmative for Stegron the Dinosaur Man!

Day #397 - Firebird

Would I buy? Instant full price purchase.
Which version? Pictures #6 and #7. I'd prefer any of the versions with the cape, which would hopefully be removable. I'm not a huge fan of the raised firebird chest piece and the pointy shoulders and I'm sure Hasbro would prefer not to make that piece. The more recent cultural take on the costume looks totally cool as well.

One of three left to complete the West Coast Avengers.
Hasbro just started The Rangers, and Bonita would be the easiest figure to make and add to that team.
Culturally and religiously significant character.
Crystal's body in a different yellow color scheme, new head, some flame power effects. Doesn't need an alternate head. New flared gloves and boots or just use conventional gloves and boots that already exist - I think we all know what Hasbro would do.
The newer costume is totally doable as well, just the fringe on the shoulders might be problamatic.

The good news I guess is when discussing her with Dwight and Dan for the past two SDCCs, they were both receptive to her, especially when I pointed out how economical she would be and that culturally she would be great to have. Both Dwight and Dan have no problem telling me if a character is too difficult to make. Bonita didn't fall into that catagory.

Also, for anyone looking to fill spots on your Top 10 lists, maybe Firebird is the perfect list completer. 🔥

She's just shy of my top ten, but absolutely, for all the reasons Beamish listed.

I'd prefer the FA, pointy chest piece version, since that's how she looked in the comics I remember her from. But that's also significantly harder to do, so I'm fine with the later ... erm ... flat-chested ... version instead. Just get her my way fast! One of the last characters I'd consider shelling out full price for.

Given the pre-tooling we saw for Thing last week, I'm optimistic Bonita's time is almost here. 🤞
