McFarlane DC Multiverse

All right. I found the Supergirl display twice now, once picked over and once virtually untouched. I got the classic Supergirl variant, standard movie Supergirl and the trenchcoat exclusive. I thought I was going to get the deluxe theatrical version, but in-hand the other two face sculpts looked so much better to me. The cloth cape wasn’t worth it. I passed on the CW Supergirl because she really doesn’t look good to me. I don’t see Melissa there at all. No interest in the movie villain, I passed on movie Lobo for now, and I already got comics Lobo from Amazon. Also no interest in Aztec or this version of Eclipso. No reason to get Saturn Girl as I don’t have any other Legionnaires. Routh Superman was also a pass, as I’m not to fond of that suit. But the figure looks really well done, so like Lobo it may be a future buy.

Saw page punchers Martian Manhunter at Target yesterday and was briefly tempted, until I remembered I'll probably just be restarting this collection over again in the future

Also, seeing that action comics Superman as part of the "vault" collection made me chuckle because it's still an awful figure

The inked logo is rad. My favourite DKR is the black and grey. But I also have all the Mafex DKR, so I'm set.

But I'll probably buy this because Batman. Probably need it just for the Rain On My Chest is a Baptism and Old Enough To Need My Legs to Climb a Rope of it all.

"You've got rights. Lots of rights. Sometimes I count them to make myself crazy."

I too run it all the time since I read it in the 90s for the first time. Many great monologues in those books. For better or worse my ideal perception of Batman is Y1-BTAS-DKR.

So many Batmans! And wired capes for all (well, except for Azbat's plastic cape). No corner cutting for DC and Todd's meal ticket, that's for sure.

I'll try for the repainted Azbat on Wednesday. If he sells out I still got the baby blue one.

So, like, I’m going to need to walk into a GameStop on Wednesday, like physically walk in and say “hey dude, I need to preorder this specific Batman”? Like seriously?
. . . and then I have to have that whole “hey become a member” or some such dipshit sales pitch?

Is this correct? At least the first part?
