So I did some swapping:

I think the Canary head looks SO MUCH BETTER as Supergirl and vice versa.

I'm trying to get Zatanna's lower half on the more classic Canary but I'm going to have to rip the diaper - but I hate making permanent changes.

But this already looks so much better to me.
 
So, in the last couple of months I've been more attention to McF as he's finally getting to some classic characters that haven't been made before.

This shit is crazy. How many lines? Multiverse, page punchers, digital, chase figs, platinum, red platinum, exclusives. 6" sub line, unannounced releases. Have I missed anything? With the scale difference I was actually grateful for a long while he wasn't making characters I wanted.

So far I've only gotten

I think almost all of them are from the last year except Peacemaker. It took that long for McF to catch my attention and subsequently my dollars.

The other day I found out exactly where my line is with buying this line. I saw Kid Flash in the wild (at a discount no less ) and almost bought it, because I hate the shrinky dinky one Mattel made. But then I realized I'm just trading one out of scale figure for another and left him on the shelf. I also once almost bought Jonah Hex and his horse, but I like the Mattel Jonah and didn't want to pay big bucks just for a horse. (Now if was Winged Victory!)

I could see myself buying Extant and Monarch on clearance if I was in the right mood.

I just tried buying Zan and Jayna, but EB Games (Gamestop in Canada) will only allow store pick up and no stores close to me have it. Such a clunky website.

I'm also hoping that with the Titans rumours we finally get a good silver age Aqualad. (The one from DCD's early days is lame, and the Tempest from Mattel sucks. That face sculpt looks like Aladdin if he was a male prostitute.

Man, I have to track down an Aztek. I'll be honest Eclipso and OMAC look like figures I will want as well. Unless they are impossible to find... then I'll just live without them the way I have other stupid Platinum variants
 
Totally missed that EB had new stuff hit a week or so ago, thanks to the deluge, and was able to make in store pick up pay out.

Jack Knight is probably the most personal way McFarlane can irritate me. It's so close. But just one head and the printed on sheriff star get me more than any other thing I've handwaved. Wish he had made CE status for a bit more in the box and possibly an real jacket treatment. On the other hand, Starman is always a beggars and choosers thing, so just happy to have.

Larfleeze is exactly what I wanted out of it. Bleez and the cat anywhere in the leak mix?
 
I believe that a red lantern 3-pack is coming with Atrocitus, Dex-Starr (the cat) and a 3rd figure that I can't remember, but I don't think it was Bleez.

I have been waiting for Bronze Tiger and had completely missed yesterday that it was going up for pre order today at noon lol. I'm glad I just saw that.

I definitely want Bronze Tiger for the Bat-Collection.


I also got an e-mail that the 89 Joker would be processing soon from BBTS.

The third figure is a Red Lantern Hal Jordan, but the set does come with two extra heads so that you can turn Hal Jordan into either Fury-6 or Veon. Dex-Starr is a pack-in which I assume will be unarticulated.

Now please don’t ask me who Fury-6 and Veon are, because I have no fricking clue. I’m just wondering what army builders are going to do with all of those extra Atrociti. 😉

Veon Is a big purple eye stalk, Fury is a big maw of razor teeth.

Maybe one of those extra heads will fit on the Atrocitus body for those of us that already have the Collect to Connect version. I'd really rather only buy one of these sets. I couldn't care less about the Hal head.

Getting nervous about the pre-order today. After missing out on Miss Martian which was my most wanted figure in a long time, I'm relatively desperate to make sure that I get Aztek and to a lesser degree, Saturn Girl. I want all of Bronze Tiger, Eclipso and OMAC as well - but Aztec is the priority! My local Walmarts never stocked the Shipper display for the Superman movie so I don't expect that they will for Supergirl either. I also had to pay out the nose for Jim Gordon because they never stocked that wave with him, Jade and SA Bizarro.

If you go into your local EB Games, they can order figures from other stores and have them shipped directly to your store for a fee of $10, which you pay in advance when you ask them to do this. Had to do it a few times when something was only available in-store in Quebec or somewhere. Basically your store calls up the other store and arranges it.

You can figure out which locations have something (if available to 'Collect In Store') by clicking on that link, inputting your preferred location, and selecting the option of only showing locations with that product in-stock. Your store can do this for you as well.

Only sucky thing is it used to be free.

But I do this often.

To make it easier, check the Pick Up and identify what stores closest to you do have it, so you can make the request.
 
I was successfully able to order Aztek and Saturn Girl from Gamestop by searching by name. I ordered the other main 3 from MTS using a $20 coupon I had.

Miss Martian still shows as unavailable or I would have gladly added her as well to my Gamestop order.

The 3-figure bundle from MTS ended up costing me $59.42 (including $10.60 for shipping) and the 2 chase figures cost me $70.47 despite free shipping. Go figure.
