Marvel Legends Gamerverse

I'm definitely in camp "inconclusive" on Wolverine's boot cut. There's no real reason why he shouldn't have one, but that's never stopped Hasbro in the past from making a curious decision.

This might have been answered but are those sculpted bands on Psylocke's legs? I can't really tell from the pic. Really nice if they are.

Single jointed elbow on Wolverine? Not sold on this one. He looks great but there will be other Wolverines too.....

the bands on Psylocke are sculpted, yes.

While it is quite impressive, I am concerned with the material with which they are constructed. From my experience, there's a diminishing returns effect inherent with bendy-wire appendages. Usually, the thicker they are, the stiffer they are; effectively reducing poseability.
Shuma-Gorath's tentacles seem to defy that, suggesting they may be constructed from a softer material similar to that from Maximum Hulk's squishy chest?
When I look at the image of him posed on his back looking upwards, I see peculiar dramatic kinks where the tentacles seem to fold instead of bend. Also, I rewatched the stream and neither Dwight or Dan actually bend the bendy parts --which one would expect them to do.
I mentioned this the other day and am curious what others think. I know I've seen that Shooting the Galaxy dude post on the forums so, I would love his take on the tentacle material since he obviously played with Shuma to get him in those poses.

It would appear that Shuma Gorath has a body that is made out of some kind of dense rubber. Maybe not as squishy as that of maximum hulk or your typical bath toy, but something more akin to the prehensile tails on the BoTM dinosaurs if you are personally familiar with those. They are made from more of a pliable PVC vs a rubber

Hammond Collection Brachiosaurus has something like that and mine has been creased since I got it and hasn't shown any signs of distress. Hopefully it is not like the softer material Mattel used for Masterverse Ram Man's legs because that was tearing straight out of the box for a lot of people. The Brachiosaurus' material is much stronger.

I love it. Looking forward to this even more.

Even Thanos MIGHT make the cut. His colors look more accurate to what I remember from the comic (though it's been a while since I've checked). He might have the edge over the single release. But then again, I doubt either will replace my Select Thanos.

Anyway, hooray for this ML Psylocke. 7th time's the charm.

If those little mask horns on Thanos really bother folks, they look like they’re a separately molded piece that you could probably trim down without much trouble if you’re industrious enough.

Not sold on this wave. Every new body is a great upgrade. Shuma-Gorath is overdue. Otherwise kinda half-baked. Not a fan of the new parts/heads to evoke the Bengus' stylization of the Marvel characters that otherwise keep it realistic so it "matches" the rest of the line. Full Bengus style heads would feel so much less uncanny. And with the colorschemes of some of these, they're not gonna match regardless. All the mostly new molds are going to get standard comic releases soon enough, anyway.

Yeah, at the least an alternate portrait would have gone a long way for me.

I took another screen grab of Wolverine in packaging from the live stream and made this one really HD courtesy of photoshop this time on my pc rather than the crappy editing tools on my phone and I think this looks much better. I don’t care what your personal preference is when it comes to the character anymore. When I look at this figure I think it checks every box. Doesn’t matter if your favorite likeness is the cartoon, Jim Lee’s art, Marc Silvestri’s, Art Adams’s, the Kubert Brothers, Joe Jusko, Hildebrandt Brothers, Capcom or Joe Mad. I feel like while this Wolverine will certainly feel the most at home in your collection in your Capcom display paired up with these figures as well as your Jada collection, there are other places for him somewhere

Good catch by Robo of Dwight covering up something on the back of Gargantos’ box.

So still some hope for Iceman, Magneto, or brighter blue Spider-man.

OR maybe there’s a Sentinel in the works somewhere.

I can't imagine if they won't even mention the title of the game that they'd open themselves up to the legal ramifications of putting a Capcom logo on the box. That would never get past their legal department.

Isn’t there some legal loophole when it comes to packaging material that allows certain sections of the box to be considered a mock up while other parts can meet the requirements for final product approval by the company’s legal team? So that way as long as you don’t actively showcase the thing that you are not allowed to represent, you will not get in legal trouble, pending any agreements you might have with any third parties? As you said they might be gearing up for a wave two. So who is not to say that the control of the Capcom license might be handed over to marvel by the time wave 2 is ready? We know that Jada’s efforts are winding down with their street fighter line and I don’t think they intend to go that deep on their mega man line if their 2026 product lines have anything to say about it. Maybe Marvel is shaping up to take over but for now, that deal is hush-hush and the packaging on display here is an earlier mock-up and not the final design?

After all it’s not the worst thing in the world if Hasbro decided to get the jump on things considering that there were at least two games that only featured Marvel characters so they can technically get away with it for now.
