MAFEX Marvel Figures

That's so unbelievably petty on whoever runs that subreddit.

I bet dollars to donuts that the subreddit community is moderated by a scalper who sees Kaiju Daddy as a threat since he’ll edge most scalpers out of business

Every day I'm thankful I never got lonely enough to join reddit.

You’re better off for it. I joined a subreddit community that focuses on novelty bags and purses around two years ago and inevitably had to see myself out because even that community was toxic

After two support tickets, Hobby-Genki finally shipped my comic version Gambit which arrived today. It basically took them a month to deliver an in-stock order, and per usual, once it finally shipped it got here fast. It's just ridiculous how it seems like everyone lately has to badger them in order to get their orders shipped. They gave me a 1,000 Y credit on my account, but I don't see myself rushing to order anything from them again.
Ignoring that experience, the figure really does look spectacular. I've had iffy experiences with Medicom in the past when it comes to paint apps, but this one looks pretty good and I haven't noticed any real blemish on it. Only criticism out of the gate is that the ankle rockers seem kind of bad. Will have to mess around with it more, but this is easily the best Gambit figure I've ever owned.

Do you have the original? I rave about that Gambit figure all the time.

I'm glad I found a greater appreciation for the character after I got the figure. Now there's no chance I'll sell it.

I bought the upcoming repaint. I just hope the QC is better than the first release because I was a day one purchase when the 1.0 came out and not a single pair of Gambit’s hands would firmly attach to the wrist pegs.

The hands on mine go on and come off pretty easily. Not bad easy, though his hand does struggle to support the weight of the largest card effect. He does have the extra post for it though so it's clearly something Medicom acknowledges.

I will say, the coat looked more red in pictures than I personally liked, but in-hand it's not as intense. I do have to chuckle at how the box labels this "Comic Version" while the image from the comic in the upper right hand corner has that more light brown colored coat of the original release. I can certainly see why some who have both versions would swap coats.

They call it Comic, but to me that's the Toy Biz Gambit I. Minus the eyes
That's mostly my thinking too, minus the blue gloves, though the costume details are pretty comic accurate as well. You just reminded me that I had the deluxe sized version of that figure with the pleather coat and corrected black gloves. That thing is probably still in my parents' basement, I wonder how that coat has held up?
