For me I like to wait at least 8 weeks between BBTS boxes, it gives my wife's nervous system a chance to reset.
They need a service that throws other companies on the box to buy you time. For me I like to wait at least 8 weeks between BBTS boxes, it gives my wife's nervous system a chance to reset.
It's pretty rare that I don't wait the full 90 days before shipping. The top three inevitable things were death, taxes, and BBTS raising their PoL shipping. The fact that it's only $6 to transport a heft of privilege across the country is a bargain on par with the Costco rotisserie chicken. It's wild to me that people are complaining about this. The amount of money they must've been setting on fire to maintain $4 flat shipping is crazy, and $6 is still so much less than they must be paying. Obviously, they're not paying full price on every shipment, but my last PoL came split across four boxes and there's zero chance they didn't lose out a bit on that.
Same here. I realized that the size of box(es) is less triggering of heckling from my wife than the frequency of boxes. For me I like to wait at least 8 weeks between BBTS boxes, it gives my wife's nervous system a chance to reset.
Oh it was pretty much the usual social media BS I was commenting on. I've been fully expecting to be finally priced out of this hobby for a while now.I haven't seen anyone complaining. I'm certainly not complaining. 2 bucks is nothing in the grand scheme of things.
HOWEVER...like I said, like all things having to do with this administration, it was all avoidable and completely unnecessary.
And it's just the start. Our toys will be going up, as well. Hearing companies who have products ON BOATS and having their contracts nullified and being asked to pay 15-20% extra in order to get shipments across the water. On top of tariffs.
That is one of my weird little joys, seeing how well they 3D tetris.Especially as I think BBTS does a good job or calculating the needed box size so not a lot of wasted space or packing materials.
One big box every couple of months has to be just a little better for the environment than 4 or 5 small boxes every couple of weeks.
Also "why'd you get six boxes today?" Look, darling, I swear it was one order, I don't know why Amazon/Pulse/Gamestop/Bestbuy/Target/Walmart decided to ship five figures in five tiny boxes. Or in the case of Target and Amazon, often one tiny figure in one giant box. Controlled shipping helps me with my SHAME.it would drive me nuts when Amazon or Target or equivalent would ship out things a figure at a time, and I didn't know when it was coming.
This honestly is a good point. I'm not a MOC collector, I don't care if packaging gets dinged up in transit, but it's always kind of entertaining to see how they jenga'd the stuff in there. That is one of my weird little joys, seeing how well they 3D tetris.
