Star Wars Black Series

Is Zeb getting a figure for M&G? I feel like $55 is closer to what they'd charge for him (and maybe some accessories, rather than a ripped Hutt. I think $55 is too low for Rotta.
Zeb seems possible, but that's a larger box so maybe Zeb and a small droid or critter of some kind.

I don't know if fans would be too happy if they made Zeb a store exclusive (not that that's ever stopped them before). What about one of those big gladiator-type droids from the first trailer? Or the Amani we saw coming out of the water?

Watch it just be another IG-12 with Grogu, some Anzellans, and maybe the rocket pram.

Opened the Bespin set tonight. I didn't need another Luke, I didn't need another Vader, but y'know what, this set is a perfect little display set. I set it up and put it on my bookshelf and it looks like it's SUPPOSED to be displayed. It's a conversation piece. The articulation on Luke is phenomenal and the detail and likeness are their best yet. The ripped front pocket is inspired. 10/10 well worth it.

Have we decided if it's worth cutting that gawdawful tag off Vader's cape, collectively, or are we leaving it for resale value? Cos truly it's the single knock I have on the set.

Zeb feels more like a normal deluxe figure than $55 to me but I guess we'll see.

Back on my head-swapping BS again - the acolyte figures are bangers but super cheap. Wondering how universal their head pegs are and if I could fudge some Marvel Legends or Classified heads onto them to make some random Jedi. Anyone done any swapping?

I tried to do some swaps with the Sisters from that wave in my quest for a better Second Sister and as usual, I don't find most Hasbro heads to scale well and look good as BS exists in its own scaling. Especially with Armor, everything looked off.

Pegs didn't seem Universal at all, but you can always tack them. Best I could do was Bix on one, and that hair wasn't meant for that Armor sculpt.

Anyone else having stability issues with the new Boba Fett? His ankles are seriously loose and can't keep him upright.

I don't think it's the toe joints, but they aren't helping.

With the Maul Wave of Black Series figures coming before too long, did you guys see that new trailer for Maul Shadow Lord a day or so ago?

It was such a good trailer. And as I was watching it, I could just feel how much I love Star Wars. And it was frightening. I love Star Wars so much it's ridiculous.

I dug it too. Been so interesting to see the life Maul has taken on since TPM. I didn't want to like him for the longest time (though, to be fair, I didn't even see Clone Wars until maybe 5-6 years ago), but there definitely is something fascinating about him. It's cool they're still making stories with him; sure, they're tied to a few things down the road like Rebels, but for the most part, they can still have some relative creative freedom with him and the storylines, which I'm sure is quite fun for them. Doubly so, given how much of the other shows have had to spend their time retroactively explaining things from TROS.

I just wish they hadn’t used Rebels to end his story. However cool it may have been, Maul deserved to go out in a movie.

For years I had been envisioning a movie where Maul finds out about Luke and, in hopes of embarrassing Vader and getting in the good graces of the Emperor again, he gets a bunch of mercenaries to attack Tattooine and kidnap Luke to bring him before the Emperor. Ben finds out about it and puts together his own team to defend Luke - so yeah, basically a sort of Magnificent Seven.

That would've been cool. I know a lot of folks would hate that it stretched out Obi Wan's character between movies even more- made him come out of hiding to tackle events and have to explain why it isn't mentioned later in ANH (beyond the obvious "it didn't exist yet)- but I'd be down.

I've definitely softened to Maul's ending over the years. I wanted some big huge battle too, but as the years go on, I like the small, quiet ending we get for him. Arguably moreso as they flesh out his story more; it's unceremonious, but it's also fitting.

I wouldn't be even a little surprised to see him go up against Vader at some point. I know he did in a Legends comic, but you know they're gonna wanna make something like that canon. 2 of the most popular, powerful bad guys? If not in Shadow Lord, it'll happen before they call it quits on Maul.
