G.I. Joe Classified Series

yeah and the snowmobiles seem likely to me as well. Maybe next year they'll have more of an arctic theme? Coincide the Polar Bear (the vehicle, not the massive beast) with a Snowcat haslab, and some snow characters in the mainline as well.

Arctic theme would be amazing. Maybe I will finally get around to building the diorama I've been planning for years.

That would be pretty cool if they did that. The following year, do desert stuff. The Mauler could be the haslab, desert scorpion, dusty v2, Spearhead etc

They could also do six inch version of those environmental cobra sets. Desert Major Bludd, Arctic Scrap Iron and so on.

If they start an arctic theme, I wouldn’t be opposed to arctic versions of characters we have, based on missions that were in the cartoon or comics. I’m sure I’ve seen folks like Bazooka, Lady Jaye, and Flint wearing parkas in an episode with Alpine and Snow Job, etc. Or at least include soft goods jackets that could universally fit figures (or make them different sizes for the ladies, average male build, and large male build.

Yeah, that would be cool, as long as we get figures of stuff like desert scorpion, or the second snow serpent.

Now you guys got me wishing my Dragonfly was a Black Hawk helicopter and I can't unsee it. Any vehicle that can display figures is better than a vehicle that just has a canopy for drivers/pilots. I have six Joes + Junkyard interacting with the VAMP (will be seven when Cover Girl arrives) and it looks great as a mini-diorama. I'll be sitting out any future Haslabs unless they can be displayed with a focus on figures, rather than the vehicle.

@vicious I think that's a great focus. And yeah, with a black hawk you've got pilots, crew chiefs, fast roping guys, guys shooting out the side, lot of possibilities.

The Tomahawk was one of my favorites as a kid. I kinda wish they did that instead of the Dragonfly just because of how much more dynamic the setups could be. But then again, probably double the cost.

And you've sold me on an arctic theme. Slap a bunch of characters in parkas so they aren't ESSENTIAL versions hidden behind a paywall but would help make for an even cooler setup like the HISS did.

Speaking of guys jumping out of helicopters, I couldn't remember who else other than Airborne (hence the jumping from copters thing) and Spirit were Indigenous among the Joes. Popped it into Google where I usually have a plug-in blocking the Google AI from giving me answers (no thanks) but was on a different device without the plug-in. Google AI proudly informed me that Snake Eyes, Stalker, and Shipwreck are all Indigenous and did not mention Airborne. I've been laughing for days about why anyone would ask AI when extremely obsessive nerds like us have built entire websites to accurately answer questions like that instead.

Yeah, a tomahawk would be really tempting to me. Especially if they make it a little more black hawkish. Or stealthier in shape, especially the nose. Honestly, the stealth black hawks they had in Zero Dark Thirty looked so Joeish to me.

Exactly, yes!

Sgt altitude and Dart apparently as well.

AI is such a goddamned chump. Man I am sick of that..
Did you see the Amazon self published author who accidentally left AI prompts in the manuscript? Including something about emulating a specific authors style.

I did. Not to derail the happy GI Joe talk, but nine of my eleven books were confirmed fed into Meta's AI grist so I tend to track all the shenanigans (plus I'm still writing about cybersecurity a lil bit on the side even though AI pretty much convinced me to leave that industry). It's like the third time this month an author's been caught leaving their prompts in their manuscript. Pro or anti-tech, I just don't know why anyone gives up the joy of writing to a robot. We should be building robots that clean toilets for us so we have MORE time to make cool shit.

Man, I selfishly hope they don't make a Snow Cat because that is one I would not be able to skip and I don't want to commit to the $450 or whatever they would charge for it. But a Snow Cat with Frostbite is top of the want list.
