McFarlane DC Multiverse

Looks nice, glad he has fists without the ring. I wish the blue was *much* darker (or black) but what can you do. Always hated how HushBats was inked. Way too bright.

I’ve always liked the idea of Damian as Batman. Batman 666 is a favorite of mine.

And if you’ve not read the Knight-Fight spin off from K.O., there’s definitely a new spin on Damian/Batman that I’ll not spoil here.

I'm actually expecting that this is just a prop replica of the "All-Spark" or something like that rather than a full Optimus anything. It could be a helmet, I guess. He's done that for Batman cowls. Although wouldn't an Optimus head have to be much, much larger?

Oh, definitely not an Optimus full-size anything. I was just being facetious with their wording lol I fully expect this to be either the All-Spark or a Bayformers Matrix of Leadership or something.

Really excited about Damian Batman and Injustice Gang Batman. Still have and love my hard light JLA figure, and this one looks just like the old Porter cover. That era was really special to me, so there's no way I can pass it up.

As for some of those rumors, I doubt I'll be able to pass on B&R Poison Ivy and Freeze if they're wearing new costumes. I'm sure Freeze is just a new head, but man, that robed throwback to his first appearance look would be fantastic. I'll also nab Returns Catwoman, as the only reason I was curious about the upcoming Neca was the tattered variant look. Wasn't a Gordon and Alfred from Returns rumored at one point, too? I hope that wasn't just signals crossing with these other announcements...

Happy to see the darker blue gray with the capsule belt. Hopefully No Man's Land head color is close. Hush Batman with wired cape-yes please. Both instant buys for me as I got rid of my Knightfall Batman because I didn't like the light gray once NML came out and I got rid of both Hush Batman's do to Kryptonite ring and hard cape. I'll pass on the rest.

Annoyingly, that blue/grey “90s Justice League” Batman only comes with one fist and one open hand. At least make it two fists, man!!

Grant Morrison's Batman run (their main run and the ancillary work that connects to it) is my favorite long-form Batman story, ever. I have other stories that come in just above it, but they're mostly one and done single issue stories. Morrison's run was what brought me back to comics in the late 00's, and reminded me that comics could be more than just "guy in tights knocks out the bad guy"...so that Damian Batman is a must for me. If the line had continued past this year, perhaps we would have seen the "3 Ghosts of Batman" or even some members of Batman Inc. At this point, there really isn't much from DC I don't have that I would claim as "must-haves" or that word everyone overuses - grail - and I know there are hundreds of missing characters that everyone is clamoring for but for me, personally, there's only a handful. Most would probably be from Morrison.

Otherwise, the things on my wishlist are just variations of Batman and Superman, and we have plenty of those. I feel sort of like I'm sundowning, not in the dementia sense but in the general winding down way one experiences after a long, hard day of work and you get to watch the sun go down on another productive day. I feel like my excitement level has nearly dissipated for DC Multiverse, and is slowly being replaced by other things. I know there are many here chomping at the bit for Mattel to take over, but I'm sort of sad to see it go. Much like Morrison brought me back to comics, McFarlane brought me back to action figure collecting. I saw wave 1 at a Walmart and had to have them all, called to me like a magnet and I'm very much down that rabbit hole with the rest of you. What a (mostly) fun and (often) strange trip it has been from Detective 1000 Batman to now, and while there were lots of average-to-not-great figures in the line I would say most were pretty damn great. I'm very grateful for this line, and I look forward to displaying it for years to come.

ToyShiz posted a story on Instagram- someone already found those 3 new Batmen in LA. I know it's not uncommon for things to trickle out before release date, but of all the companies, McFarlane is probably the most egregious when it comes to it. I've found things like a month before the official pre-order date before.

You say it like finding unannounced products is a BAD thing. Brings me back to childhood when I had no idea what was coming out so the excitement was just different.

That new Hush Batman looks beautiful. I like the JLA Batman too, but it looks like he has no wire in his cape (just like NML). So I may pass on that one.

Not at all! I miss those days too- they were magical. Here in NY, we're usually the last place to get almost anything that comes out, so I remain in constant jealousy as I slowly watch things trickle across the country. I wish things would come out quicker in general, but with the iron grip a lot of these companies have with release dates and such, it still just feels like such an anomaly that it's worth pointing out.
