Star Wars Black Series

Definitely in for these - but really only pre-order the Sith dudes and troopers so I'm locked in for 11th brother and Maul - will grab the others later down the line.

Anyone else tired to death of seeing this message? Is my brain exaggerating, or has it been at least over a year now? Man if I let an error like that go for this long at my job, I would have been fired long ago!

Sorry but where is that message from? Hasbro Pulse? If from Pulse I have never seen that message once in all my orders on Pulse.

Yeah, like Schizm said, every single order on Hasbro Pulse for a long time now. Lately it had gotten better - would get the message once, then try again and it would go through. But today, I had to change the payment to Paypal to get an order in (which became a normal procedure for me in 2025). I actually asked customer service about it last year because I lost out on a few pre-orders because of it. They're the ones that told me to to use Paypal.

I've never gotten that error message but I've certainly run into a fair share of problems with their checkout system.

I rewatched the Maul: Shadow Lord trailer last night and I somehow missed the component of it being partly about the Emperor tying up a loose end in Maul and how there's an edge of "and fuck that guy specifically" to Maul with the Emperor. Doing my movies-in-chronological-order rewatch, it is crazy to me, in the best way possible, that I think the most fulfilling, deeply personal arcs in the entire Star Wars canon are enabled by the animated shows. Ahsoka, Maul, and Saw motherfucking Gerrera. Watching the latter in Rogue One yesterday after everything we see him go through in the Clone Wars, Rebels, Bad Batch, and Andor... From beginning to end it's a hell of a life.

"Have they sent you to kill me? There's not much of me left."

Yeah all my orders with Pulse are CC payment and I have never had a problem. Maybe being in Canada makes a difference? I don't know.

The only recurring issue I have is that every time I place an order it always asks me to edit/save my address because for some reason it doesn't register as the right address, yet all I have to do is click the edit/save button and it goes through with no changes.

I'm sure Maul: Shadow Lord will be good, but I am kind of done with Maul. I don't really feel a need to see more tales of his story and more characters that never get mentioned again in post ROTJ. I am good with more stories, but I am more good (gooder 😜 ) with them moving onto other stories/eras. Kind of like the BS figures. They look good, but I am not really looking to pick them up.

I had a solid two some years of the CC erroring out. At least their PayPal is not an instantaneous charge, so it's really a tomato tomato situation.

It randomly started working last fall. It didn't matter the card. Didn't matter what I edited or added or deleted.

The Maul figures are pre sold out on BBTS. Its been what, 2 hours? Thats annoying. Luckily Pulse still had them so I ordered them there. But I hate ordering from Pulse if I can help it. If BBTS comes back up I'll order them there and cancel the Pulse ones.

I don't want to see anyone NOT get figures they want, but there are days lately I wonder if SWBS is reaching end of life because they aren't selling out and I worry there's some characters we won't get before it ends, so seeing healthy sales for the Maul wave is actually kind of cool to see.

I picked up two gaming greats multi-packs super discounted on Amazon this week. Probably could've lived without them but at like,10 bucks a figure I can't complain. Doing little fill-ins with droids to flesh out the collection, but I also found myself looking at Ello Asty - stupid character, stupid name, but I could head canon an alien rebel pilot and enjoy that if I find him cheap.

Why do you think TBS is nearing end of life? Sales seem to be steady.

Doubling up Krennic *at retail* was the worst decision they could have made - found five of him at Ross today, the regular version. But he's now clogging pegs at every Target, along with a combo of Vernestra, Dagan and Bazil. At least from all the stores I've visited.

Who are you all seeing at Target these days? Has Walmart ever clearanced out the Bix Andor wave?

Just subjective worry seeing everything getting so deeply discounted, no substantial evidence. Just worrying for worrying's sake. And the relative slowdown of releases, but I think they've upped the quality.

Transformers seems to have fewer waves/releases a year as well lately. I think part if the tariff nonsense made them do fewer releases and more reissues.
It does feel like we've hit a dry spell. But TBS, in particular, just announced a surprise wave releasing any day to fill that space.
