Masters of the Universe: Masterverse

I got Terror Claws Skeletor and She-Ra. I really like Terror Claws Skeletor a lot. To me, he looks best with his regular hands, and the pink visor off. The Terror Claws are kind of odd to me. They look almost comically big. So, I prefer just keeping his regular hams on. But his armor, the colors, the sculpt of his face. Great looking figure.

I can't wait for a New Eternia Dragon Blaster Skeletor.

She-Ra is really nice too. I really like the pearlescent white of her gear, and the unique take on the sword of protection. Ninjor hasn't arrived yet to complete the Wave, but he should be here soon. But I like these 2 a lot.
 
Did anyone else not know that terror claws skeletor can open his jaw?

There’s always some “Easter egg” on these figures. Some cool little feature that you figure out on your own that isn’t even advertised.


Small things like that mean a lot in this harsh world …(chefs kiss)

Skelly needs his terror claws that big for when he goes traipsing through the Vine Jungle and gets in a patch of Eternian poison ivy.

I didn't know that. I'm the world's worst to put a figure on the shelf and not notice some feature about it until someone online points it out. There's no telling what hidden secrets some of my figures are still holding. On the plus side this also applies to problems with the figures. I don't notice a lot of that either until someone points it out.
 
Saw on Reddit that someone had found the BA Skeletor wave at a Walmart in Texas. I swear if this wave starts trickling out now...

Though I wouldn't mind picking up that Teela for retail.

My only Walmart that sells MOTU still has been sitting on Tri-Klops and Keldors for months without a single one moving so I doubt mine would get any anyway.

This could just be a case they found in the back of that one Walmart though and not a situation where the DC got a whole lot of them.

I haven't seen a Masterverse inside of a Walmart since the first Revelation figures. Pretty sure the last one I saw was Skelegod or Moss Man. Would be amazing if they started carrying the line again.

I'm tempted to buy the pegwarmers at mine and return them all to a Walmart that doesn't carry Masterverse and see what comes in to replace them.

Welcome to al of Canada. There hasn't been a MOTU figure on shelves here in I don't know how long. I think the last time I found any MOTU figures on a regular retail shelf was the Masterverse Frosta wave. And that was at Dollarama (Canada's biggest dollar store chain) for $5 each!!!

The only way to get MOTU stuff right now is etailers, or Amazon. It has turned into an online brand up here.
 
That is basically the case here. I have about 20 Walmarts in a traversable radius around me and exactly one still carries any MOTU and that one hasn't moved a figure in months. I don't even check it anymore.
 
All the Wal-Marts I can easily get to (throughout Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia) still carry MOTU. Both Origins and Masterverse. All of them have the same thing right now though. Origins is the Wave with Cartoon She-Ra, Ram Man, and Mantenna and Masterverse is the Wave with Flying Fists He-Man, Evil Lyn and Fisto.

So, it is older stuff.

Hopefully ALL Wal-Marts have MOTU Merch back next year with the Movie coming out.

He’s amazing AND with the bearded head from NE Battle Armor He-Man and the gold Power Sword from Thunder Punch, you get a totally amazing older/“King” He-Man to boot!
 
I also now realize I don't have Thunder Punch either. Better add him to the list. I was prioritizing unique characters over variants when they hit and then forgot to go back and get them later.
 
I'm also hoping that Masterverse isn't ONLY new movie stuff next year, but hey, maybe the designs will all be cool anyways? Word out of CinemaCon seemed to indicate they weren't straying too far from classic looks, and lords know they've announced a lot of characters already at this point. As ever, I'll evaluate when I've got something to evaluate. But I very much want New Eternia/Etheria to keep going as well.
 
I guess even if Masterverse does go all movie, we still have at least a year of regular releases until then. Currently the movie is slated for June 2026 but I'm sure it will be pushed back some. Remember when GI Joe Classified went full movie? All of that peg-warmed and could have killed the line but thankfully they dropped it really quickly and went back to standard releases. The same could happen with MOTU. If the MOTU movie designs are good I'll 100% be excited to pick up the figures but I still hope they pepper in some New Eternia/New Etheria releases too.
