General Marvel Legends

Its the Iron Spider arms. The original figure was deluxe priced when it was released The female Iron Spider in the Magic the Gathering Wave was even more expensive, so it is not shocking at all that they priced this one this way.

It IS borderline robbery, just not surprising.

I have $31.49 MSRP down for the regular Iron Spider - was he really $34.99?

MJ Iron Spider had the whole card thing - so maybe we actually got a deal on her. No, not really.

It's not a straight repaint - the torso with the sculpted spider emblem is new. Not defending the price, just pointing it out.

Legendsverse has the 2022 Iron Spider retailing at $33.99.

Superior Spider-Man in the 85th Anniversary wave was $29.99 in pre-Trump Tax times. Not shocked they pushed it up to $35 when the effective tariff rate on China has gone from 2-3% up to 35-50%. They're not going to take a hit on their margins just to cut us a break.
 
Their margin can sit pretty with my money staying in my wallet.

Was anyone asking for this version? I had no idea who this was and I don't remember seeing him on any wishlist. I'm familiar with a lot of characters because of wishlists and other fans talking but this one - nope.
 
Amazing Yamaguchi made this version a few years ago which was my first exposure to the character. I think the gold and black design looks slick - and the figure actually has a metallic look to it unlike so many Iron Mans - so I'm happy enough to get him if I find a price I can live with.
 
Seeing folks get their Power Princess AKA the best Wonder Woman figure ever made has me thinking I want to pull out the Squadron Supreme (they've been on temporary hiatus to put some new X-Men on the main shelf) and do some new setups. It still blows my mind that Hasbro actually gave us the Squadron relatively close together instead of making us wait a decade for the whole team (or at least the iteration I was hoping for).
 
ya mean the way they teased us with and made us buy multiple black bolts and Medusa's before just giving us a core team?!

Initially I passed on the box sets... but then picked them up when they announced PP as you just can't have a whole team of sausage being represented... I want to say by that point the Hawk/Blur was available at a discount.

I dont care about the cards, so any of the Magic / Legends items are expensive to me. Would I buy the MJ iron Spiderman at a discount? sure! I really do want the Man Wolf... I want to say the last man wolf we got was a Toy Biz version like 20 years ago with an action feature... which eventually I just decided to let go of.

If the rumors are true and we get a Malice that will be a hard one to pass on since I've got a mediocre custom I made a long time ago standing in... waiting for Hasbro to make me one!

FYI Man-Wolf can be had for around $22 on Amazon resale. It also went on sale through Amazon proper for around that same price recently, and almost certainly will again. Those MtG sets ARE outrageously priced, but luckily Man-Wolf is the one most guaranteed to get discounted to something acceptable.
