Studio Series.

Bonecrusher is scheduled to be delivered today from Amazon, but it hasn't even been marked as shipped. Not holding my breath.

Funny you say that. I got a DVD set from them yesterday out of the blue with no heads up at all, so hopefully you will get your package.

Interesting that while the pieces of Devy's gun come with Scrapper they work well as heavy fire support attached to Bonecrusher's forearms. Seems like they were made for him.

My worry is that, once the final pieces to make Devastator are released, the first ones will be impossible to find. Hopefully Hasbro will be smart enough to keep them in production, or release a complete set around the holidays.

I got bonecrusher today. I plan to complete devastator.

Was thinking of maybe doing superion too (even though not technically an “86”) but not sure if I want to spend the money on two combiners.

Devastator is my favorite though.

Probably in for Soundwave and maybe a megatron and shockwave

I'm afraid of what the economy is going to do to increase the prices of Mixmaster and Scavenger. I've already locked in preorders for the Hook and Long Haul 2pk. I know that there are also a bunch of redos rumored on leak lists, like seekers and such. I WAS all in on SS86, but I don't know how feasible it will be to continue that.

In hand Long Haul and Hook. Man, I hope the back of Devastator isn't supposed to be like that.

Out of the loop with Transformers, aside from Studio Series. I got into Transformers with the Siege line, which became Earthrise and then I slacked off on collecting and lost track. Is that line still going and if so what is it called now?

It evolved from Siege to Earthrise to Kingdom (those three were all part of “War for Cybertron”) to Legacy (which started as Legacy Evolution and turned into Legacy United). I think now we are at Age of the Primes.

Thanks! It's a confusing one for me because there isn't a forever running all-encompassing line name like we have with Marvel Legends or MOTU Origins and stuff like that. As far as Studio Series goes, I'm still debating about whether I want to upgrade my old Constructicons to the newer versions. They kinda look okay as is sitting on the shelf and that's a big price tag by the time they all come out.

I usually call it Mainline, but it has also been called Generations, which is kinda how it started off with CHUG (Classics, Henkei, Universe, Generations) which really refers to a particular scale which includes the size classes Deluxe, Voyager, Leader, Commander, and used to include Scout and Legends scale for really small figures. I find that Mainline is a good blanket term which can also include Studio Series, since they share the Deluxe, Voyager, Leader, Commander classes.

Studio series I think is just “characters based on specific movie looks”.

But as a casual transformers fan, I also find all the different sub lines sort of confusing.

Also whomever it was that said they’re not sure about getting tge new devastator, I sold my 2016 devastator and regretted it, so for me I definitely want it.
