Roboskull MKII/Skeletron

I flat-out don't believe a company would be allowed to sell what the rights-holding company told them to stop manufacturing. Hasbro has a long reputation for tolerating sales of copycat designs so long as the packaging/advertising doesn't step on their trademarks. Was this an FMF announcement?

I think Crimson Moon really, really, really crossed a line over what hasbro would normally light fly under the radar.

Homages in lines and overseas companies doing high end products that Hasbro doesn't sell are one thing, but this was essentially a full on line of "stolen" designs by an American company and a retail partner with Hasbro of something they might have done in Classified. I think they got a little bold when hasbro didn't seemingly say anything about the Red SHadows heads in wave 1 of Monster Force (which remember was a secret accessory with the red one because they knew what they were doing). I wouldn't be shocked if they gave BBTS and FMF a "Dont you do this again at 6 inch" letter

If all that's true then why let FMF sell the things Super7 supposedly wants to make? Regardless of how popular the Red Shadow designs are there will be *some* who won't buy what comes second since they already got what's already being offered:

I simply can't believe that the Red Shadows of all niche-of-a-niche properties (hell, they aren't even from Hasbro but Palitoy) is the one that gets them to care.

I think it's less that its Red Shadows and more that 1) it's a domestic company and 2) that it was not just homages spread throughout a line but like here's just a wave that's straight up somebody else's IP.

As a big Red Shadows fan, I have alot of Crimson Moon preordered and look forward to having it in hand, but it's one of the most brazen things I've seen a domestic company do in terms of IP infringement.

My 6" pilot is out for delivery! I shall have a new badass for the shelf when I get off work.

I'm curious what copyrights Hasbro even still has. Valaverse scooped up Action Force, the Skeletron crew scooped up... Skeletron and Red Shadows and released a vehicle that is brazenly based on the original. FMF at least tried being cheeky with the having to buy multiple figures to swap things around.

I do remember the early teaser art for the Crimson Moon wave having the Red Jackal homage with his more Destro inspired head but was all changed to the red masked version for actual solicitations.

6 inch Wolf Trooper + Blood Wolf and Red Weasel accessory set + Roboknight upgrade for the Roboskull arrived this weekend.

Both the range of motion and the smoothness of the joints are excellent. Really, really impressive stuff.

So got my two six inch Red Shadows wolf trooper figures and accessory pack in. Have to say I really like them The civilian head sculpts included in the accessory pack are pretty weak and I can't see ever using them, but the figures are all about the helmeted versions anyway.

But with all of these extra helmets and chest harnesses I needed to figure out how to use them. Then I remembered the pule of Crimson Alley Vipers I over ordered by mistake. That body works really good for a couple of the black harnesses and helmets. But with the harness and head removed thats just a black body.

Was contemplating a retro Crimson Guard figure for red the red arms and legs but holy hell... its $90 on Amazon right now, so thats a pass.

Regardless these are awesome. I have two of the actual Skeletron ordered so now eager for those to finish production and ship. It does make me want to go back and order the Gyre Wolf figure. I sjipped the Gyre and Jungle repaints but now am thinking the Gyre wolf figure would be awesome as well.

I've got the standard 6" pilot and a Skeletron ordered, but I might go back for Gyre Wolf. He gives me Captain Power vibes.

Captain Power had some great designs wholly failed by Mattel's shit-skills. Too bad Mattel doesn't have the courage to revive him.

Captain Power deserves a new lease on life. Though I doubt they'd keep the armor aesthetic even though that's what I still like about it.

Despite being born in 88, I pride myself on being pretty knowledgeable about 80's toy and pop culture franchises. From well known to deep cuts.

I have zero fucking clue what Captain Power is.

Oh I loved the Captain Power toys, especially the two evil robot guys, the one was like a robotic were-pterodactyl and the other guy had little tank treads for feet.
I also had the main bad guy and Captain Power and the guy with the jet pack.

Opened my Wolf Trooper. He's a lanky fella. Buttery smooth articulation. Real nice detail. Love the little wolf paw prints on the bottoms of the boots. Finally my Roboskull has a pilot and feels complete. Now he can properly terrorize my shelves.
