NECA Archie Comics Line

Had a few minutes to open up and check out April. I still like this mold which is mostly the wrestling turtles with a new shell, plastron, hands, and head. Old pal zelu did a great job with the sculpt. And, what do ya know, she actually has the correct hinge for her sword wielding hands! 2012 Leo can’t get that treatment, but this somewhat random April can - make it make sense!
 
Saw on reddit that NECA's fucking up shipping on April now too. Sending multiples for some people and now contacting them trying to get them back like they did with Don's lab.
 
Some people way up the food chain at NECA need to go in there for awhile and just observe the process and identify where these issues are arising and correct them. It’s been way too long. How does a single figure order become a full case by accident?
 
I steer far and clear of NECA's store unless it is something I absolutely want and can't get anywhere else, but if I was one of those people getting a full case of Aprils, I'd be making a really nice donation to Toy for Tots this year, and NECA and go suck an egg. They clearly think it is everyone else's problem but their own to fix their constant screwups.
 
Yeah at this point I'd rather toss them into a fire and send them a video of it with a flip off emoji superimposed than to send it back to them. No excuse for that to keep happening.
 
I generally don't order direct from them eithr outside of exclusives. I did the 2012 bundle because of the free shipping and because they dont; charge me tax. And I did Archie April with Body Count Casey and Mercenary Karai for largely the same reason (not free shipping, but no tax kind of offset it) and cuz they all had Q4 as release date. Might be lucky to see that April now, though...

I suppose at this point one could argue that cooperating with their request for returned merch isn’t going to solve anything since they keep repeating the behavior. Maybe they need to take a bath on some of these releases to finally get their shit together.
 
Thankfully, I only got a single April with my order. Glad not to have the hassle of returning a case.

I love this line, and I do want that April Turtle, but the 41.99 price at BBTS is preventing my finger from pressing the buy button. That just feels like it's not a good deal at all. Eventually I'm sure I'll break down and buy it, but I just can't bring myself to drop that much dough on her right now.

I feel the same about Ace Duck being 49.99 at Target and 59.99 at BBTS, but at least he's a big chunky boy. April is just a standard Turtle. Wingnut and Screwloose were definitely worth their price though.
 
If she ends up at Walmart, like most of the Archie stuff, then she’ll almost certainly hit clearance at some point. The only ones that really have not have been Ace, Hound, and Wingnut, but none were really stocked in large quantities. Also possible April ends up the same. Either way, it probably won’t hurt to wait it out for a bit.
