I forgot Target drops their exclusives at 6 am west coast time... but it was still available.

Given the trajectory of most of these exclusives it seems like it may eventually go to discounr - Jean, Chuck and Storm all did... but Mystique didn't, so better safe than sorry.

I think there's going to be a lot less demand for diamond Emma than Mystique.

I was thinking on waiting for a (maybe) sale, but I could get her w/ free shipping with Weapon X which is on clearance for just over $16, so I caved.

Passing on Emma unless I find her on discount later. Considering Weapon X Wolverine is $16 bucks on Target now, I'm confident she's not more popular than Wolverine himself. Plus this is, what, the third Emma we've gotten in as many years?

Yeah but Weapon X is a very specific look for Wolverine, a look that really isn’t versatile. Can’t just use Weapon X in any display. This figure didn’t offer much difference from the previous version either. Not surprised it’s heavily discounted.

And Diamond Emma reissue with arms that also don't bend any higher than her cape allows is versatile? Weapon X is a pretty seminal look for Logan. This version of Emma doesn't really offer much in the way of difference you mentioned aside from her being clear. Giving her folders to a Beast figure was my main interest in even considering it. Other than Mystique all of Target's more recent offerings have been "variant" looks for main characters. (Jumpsuit Xavier, X-Factor Jean, Weapon X Wolvie, Black suit Storm).

I’m not saying that Diamond Emma won’t hit clearance, I’m just giving my take on why Weapon X did hit clearance. Wolverines aren’t always hot sellers.
