Mezco 1:12 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I need to see more, but at first blush I would say "No." The proportions look a little off, but maybe this could be a way to get a more screen accurate Mikey that's shorter than the rest if you mix him into a NECA display? Of course, they'll probably be sold as a four-pack so that would be one really expensive Michelangelo.
 
I happily do not need red shirt Casey. I NEEDED red shirt Casey for Mirage, but that was my first version of that figure, and I am 100% okay with the Mezco ones being their own thing (despite Shredder being VERY Mirage lol).

They are not as good as Neca's and the price makes them REALLY not as good as Neca's.

I'm really glad they are doing that Casey though. I cancelled my wait-list order for the other one because I like this one better. My Neca Mirage Casey is the gray shirt one so this will finally give me a red shirt Casey without buying a second of the same one from Neca. Plus now my Mezco Turtles will have a Casey with them.

Shredder though I really wish they had done more of their own thing rather than go with something that looks so much like Mirage Shredder.
 
Haha, I think I'm the only guy on the planet who likes their Shredder, and now probably the only guy who likes this Foot Soldier as well. The cowl could be better conceived, though. But I love the toy inspired snouty pull around the bottom of the mask.

Will likely pass, however. The NECA Mirage ones work just fine. Surprised they didn't show off Shredder—maybe later this weekend.
 
The red Casey is so weird as a release... if they gave it the proper Bodycount mask, I'd probably pick it up. As is though, the "exclusive" version is such a better representation of Casey in Mirage during its best era, so I'm content with it.
 
I’m still on the wait list for the previous version of Casey. I don’t think it’s getting fulfilled.
 
Movie turtles from Mezco go up for order tomorrow.

The teaser doesn't show an exclusive label on it, so in theory they'll be available everywhere during the day.

I'm happy with the NECA sets I have, so I'm not ravenous to get these, but if the price is right (under $500) and I can order them somewhere without a deposit, I might be tempted if all the images for what's included are enough of a draw.

I’m kinda drawn by the fact that they are 1:12 scale, which I have a lot of movie figure in at this point.
 
I understand companies have to keep milking the same few nostalgia cows for us 40+ year olds, and the one photo they have so far looks fine, but man, NECA gave us the final word on movie TMNT. They're 7 years old and I don't think they're going to be topped.
 
Visually, I don’t see Mezco topping NECA save for making Mikey the proper height if they so choose. There is certainly room to blow away the NECA articulation, but I don’t see that being worth triple the price.
 
Listings are up in the usual places. The set is $350 which is a decent price for a Mezco release, but it's also pretty bare bones compared with some other sets they've done. It looks like they're all on the same body so they're all the same height. Something looks off with the proportions and I don't think I like them which is good since it saves me $350 and then some.
