McFarlane DC Multiverse

Recently I have been caught up with releases and platinum figures. I will do a hunt if needed but I am tired of it. Especially since gas was $3.98 last week in my area and is now $4.19. It's helpful when people post seeing figures in California so I know in about a week or so they will show up in Pennsylvania. My local Gamestop has been getting figures in almost every week. It's always a mixture of things and not really a full case.

I have seen Black Canary but none of the other figures from the same wave. I just saw 2 Jayna figures today. Has anyone seen the recent Batman figures? I haven't seen White Lantern Batman or Injustice League Batman.

I am not blaming McFalrane for the hunt of platinum figures. It could be his idea or it could be a decision made with the stores to get foot traffic in the stores. But I think I am ending my figure buying with McFarlane. I have no problem with Mattel but I hate to start a new collection. Mainly it's the price of the figures. I might get something if there is a character that hasn't been made before.

I was a little concerned over Platinum Black Canary. Found her the second day of hunting in the overall fourth GameStop I looked in. Pretty easy relatively speaking. Regular Black Canary hasn’t even arrived yet from MTS.

But Black Condor, Gangbuster, Miss Martian, and Bloodwynd are all must haves. And all Red Platinums. However, I don’t really see any of them being big money on eBay except Miss Martian.

Aren't red platinums just the sigil for a store exclusive same as a gold?
I honestly don’t know anymore. Originally, the Red Platinums were supposed to be unique, non variant characters sold only in brick and mortar to drive foot traffic. They were also supposed to be somewhat lower tier characters. Literally none of that is true now.

But I’m still in world building mode, so they’re all necessary. I’m finished when Todd is.

All I know is up here at EB you can order them specifically. But it doesn't seem like everyone up here knows that, and I have no idea how it works because we don't have the Target and Walmart experience you guys do.
