McFarlane DC Multiverse

These are already at Target?! Dang. Look at that production date - these were produced 35 DAYS AGO!

I want all three, but I have no real context for Miss Martian. Don't really need one, she can go with the Teen Titans or turn into Viv Vision. :)

Did the Benoist Supergirl get an actual announcement? How is she coming?

I pre-ordered her in Canada at DJC, but no one else had a listing or an announcement.

DJC took the listing down once it sold out. They've never let me down, though. Said Late April-May.

That turnaround time is cray. The McFarlane track record of having things out on shelf before even an official announcement/pre-order remains true!

Of the 3, I think I'd go for Robin above all, but I wish he came with a bo staff or, you know, anything.

Still hoping to see a better picture of Miss Martian’s face soon. This is three in package shots now where it doesn’t look great, but we could be losing some subtle details that would make a difference, plus the “looks better in hand” adage that seems to apply to McFarlane faves in general and female faves in particular.

Really hope they don’t blow this. I’ve been waiting for a Miss Martian since the animated Young Justice first premiered.

EDIT: Asoka the Geek posted a You Tube video with some clearer pics. She looks fine. Even has a hint of a cute smile:

Miss Martian Pic at (4:58)

This is going to cost me if Jade and Jessica are anything to go by. Don’t have the time or inclination to hunt day in and day out anymore.

Yes, there are things about McFarlane’s DC Multiverse that drive me up a wall, but one thing I will absolutely miss is the unpredictable (and prolific) character selection.

Coming from me, I know this will sound strange, but my attitude has shifted somewhat recently regarding what happens next. I can’t stop or alter it. So I can either embrace it, or quit. I don’t quite feel like quitting yet, so I am cautiously embracing Mattel and am not ready to just write off their character selection just yet.

I’ve been buying some Marvel Legends recently. Mostly select characters from the comics of my youth. I’m gonna apply that attitude to Mattel/DC. If I’m feeling it, I’ll buy it. If not, money saved. I think my days of world building are over once Todd is done.

But yeah…Bloodwynd? GO TODD!

Bloodwynd had better still be coming! I really want that figure! I'm sure it's just an illusion based upon packaging placement but that Robin looks to be significantly larger than the Martians in that picture! Tim is the only one of these 4 figures that I have no interest in.

I've still got both the DCUC and DCD versions of the character, but I'm sure that I'll buy this one also.

Goddammit, I just finished haunting Target last month when I got everything I wanted from Haulathon in one day, now I have to start checking constantly to find that Bloodwynd? Bastards!

I'm seriously tempted to just get him on the secondary and avoid the mostly disappointing Target hunts that will be in my immediate future. I've been lucky in the past with Page Punchers at my local Target though, so I dunno. I've just really grown to hate hunting at Target and Wal-Mart lately. It's so rare to feel that Indiana Jones type of treasure hunting experience anywhere these days, except for freaking Ross of all places.

I'll tell myself I'll only look for Bloodwynd when I happen to be in the Target area, and then I'll find myself contriving reasons to be in the area every other day or so until I either find him or give up and pay double+ on ebay. I love MCF for making characters like this, I hate MCF for making them pointlessly difficult to acquire.
