I've never opened my Odin. He's in his box at the back of my small Asgard shelf. His size isn't as noticeable that way, and he fits exactly the space.

I came to like that shelf so much more the instant I sold off Controller Thor and put a regular Thor in his spot.

I was always very happy with Odin and he looks great at the back of my Thor shelf. Even at today's available price on Amazon at $77 Canadian that's still a great value compared to similar releases.

Those Asgardians plus Heimdall are some of the very rare exceptions where I'd be almost as happy to get modern iterations as classic ones, so long as the moderns were from the Straczynski & Coipel / Asgard in Oklahoma era - the right versions to go with Maximum Thor. I love this run and these designs and I'd be thrilled to see them made.

Yeah sign me up for those! I pre-ordered Thor today and am thrilled with how he turned out. Honestly everything else is almost a bonus, but I do want a supporting cast. Odin was my favorite Marvel Legend of 2024 and one of my fave all timers. If Maximum Spider-man got McFarlane Lizard and the symbiote suit (and Cardiac I guess), Hulk got his own line entirely then it's quite plausible we see complementary Asgardians. That version of Heimdall was on my want list for a while. Would be a dream.

I would take any of them and I also wonder if one of those accessories is a hint at a future MTO (????)

Same. I resisted it because I didn't view it as appropriately priced for what it was, but if he'd been in the classic blue they likely would have gotten me to cave.

Oh but the next time we see him, he will be. That’s the thing I feel very confident about with Max Spidey, they’ll drop to just alt hands and heads and do shade variations in 2 or 3 packs at some point so they can tempt people to get specific eras and looks off the same bespoke sculpt.

I'm not opposed to that. But they better pick the RIGHT alt hands and heads. Give me only web-shooter hands and those stupid bare hands and I will riot.

Can you tattoo the spider-man mask on his forehead so he can stop sculpting the eyes too damn far apart? I don't particularly like the figuarts aesthetic, but Max Spidey does not have a single good head sculpt in that box and the half the accessories are garbage.

I'll third that. The light blue Spidey variant is one of many inevitable repaints that can't come soon enough. A classic Daredevil on that new body, red Elektra, Black Cat, etc.

I'd go on, but I don't want to give PantherCult an aneurysm.

I'd have been tempted by light blue and some Bendis eyes, but I also still look at that Maximum Spidey and just see a Marvel Legends figure and can't fathom dropping 50 on it. I feel like Vincent Vega talking about milkshakes from Pulp Fiction.
