Oh no, I think he shipped more than just MoMo - I received the Chupacabras. It was crap. It was essentially made of chalk and crumbled right out of the box. There was supposed to be a really cool line of Cryptid figures in, I want to say, 2000, 2001 by a company called Nevermore Toys. First series was Mothman, Jersey Devil, MoMo the Missouri Monster, and Chupy.
The line was supposed to be 6 inch scaled monsters with bases and "victims". They really leaned into the Chupacabra being a weird lizard creature aesthetic.
These ended up never being released.
I guess back in 2013, this guy tried a Kickstarter of this series, and only ended up delivering MoMo, sans victim and base, before disappearing into the void--as these guys often do.
Yeah, all of them had QC issues, but those were cool sets. Those McF Monsters sets LIT UP MY WORLD in college. So damn cool . . . although there was a QC issue where Dracula frequently broke at the peg of his arm into the torso . . . I went through a few Draculas. The Frankenstein sets had an unabashed Hammer vibe that RULED. And: To date, one of the very few attempts to present a book-accurate Phantom of the Opera with a noseless corpse-face instead of weird burns. And Steve the Victim in the Werewolf set! Best action feature ever: you could dismember him!
