JOYTOY Mechs and Warhammer and stuff

Just throwing this out there - I've had an ongoing issue with Fireflies Toy Store on Ali. So if you're an Ali-Warhammer buyer, I'd recommend not using this store. They sent me a broken figure and gave me a run-around for 3 full months (so far) about getting a replacement. A couple of times they offered me a partial refund, and ignored me completely when I asked why I shouldn't return the item for a FULL refund considering it's broken.
My exact question being - why would I want to pay ANY money for a broken item? Just give me my money back and a prepaid shipping label and I'll happily send the item back. Nothing. Just another 'we'll get a replacement to you.'
Sleaze behavior. Stay away.
Re-reading this thread as my fall continues. Do you generally get yours from Ali, and is it a price thing or what? I've mostly used LT Cave thus far.

Yeah, I've been getting mine from Ali. I don't know almost anything about LT Cave at all, so it's not a slam against them. But with Ali I've always been able to get discount codes, plus basically every store offers free shipping. So I've always been able to get my figures for a lot less than what they're going for at BBTS and ToySnowman (and DJC, when they have them). But again, I never really looked that hard at LT Cave.

I haven't looked that hard at Ali, I was just already using LT Cave for the JoyToy TMNT stuff. They also offer free shipping, but I don't know how the prices stack up against Ali, it's just always such a mess trying to find a decent store on Ali's site.

You can tell by the post that you quoted that I haven't always had success in that regard. But I have like.. two... Ali stores that I use and like. Next time I'm in the market for a JoyToy, though, I might do some comparison shopping at LT Cave. It doesn't seem very straight forward in their policies how one goes about getting free shipping, though. Is that a "if you spend over X amount" kind of thing?

As far as I've experienced

To my experience, free shipping is the default. I suppose it's possible that Canada is different, but there's a yellow banner at the top of the main page for me that says "FREE Shipping, Tariff Included" all the time.

Yup, I see that too. But when you go look at the policies page, it starts with: "We provide free shipping to the local warehouse." What does that mean? It's followed by a bunch of caveat/addendum junk and mostly just refers to 'see the checkout page.' So... I just ignored them assuming it was free shipping in the US or free shipping to some random warehouse in Ontario and I still gotta pay for shipping from there. Next time I'll look at them more closely. There's a few JT Warhammer figures I've got my eye on when the holiday season is over and I'm not hemorrhaging money.

For Ali, I mostly use Ailinna Toys Store. I've bought a ton of JoyToy there, as well as most of the Savage Crucible humans. Got really good deals on pretty much all of it, plus their free shipping is actually pretty quick most of the time. They're always doing sales, which you can combine with either the in-store coupons or the general AliExpress coupons. Been pretty easy for me. But again, I never compared them with LT, so maybe I was overpaying the whole time.

Every time I've ordered from them, it's the thing where you get the initial Chinese tracking number and then it gets a separate USPS tracking number once its States-side. Not sure if that's what they mean by "local warehouse" or not. Never paid any additional fees or tariffs or anything.

As far as prices go, my super-quick scan makes it look like it's gonna really case-by-case. I see some that are exactly the same price on that shop you cited as LT Cave charges, some that are a couple bucks more, some a couple over with Ali's shipping, etc. So far, the biggest discrepancy I've seen is Sanguinius, who is about $20 cheaper on the Ali site, though that might just be a first-time customer discount?

though that might just be a first-time customer discount?
Yeah, that gets confusing. Sometimes I see a great deal, sign in, and then the deal is gone. That sucks.
But like I said, there's almost always coupon codes for Ali, so that often makes up for it. Interesting that it may end up being 'this is cheaper at Ali, that is cheaper at LT' kind of a situation.
