But if we get rid of all the sex scenes in comics we'll miss out on brilliant scenes like this:

Ugh. As much as I love the whole DCAU, Timm's quest to have Bruce and Barbara together is SO gross, and so out of character for both of them. Yuck!Kind of ironic, given how grossly horny Timm eventually got for Bruce/Barbara. Talk about an absolutely unacceptable relationship. Fuuuuuuuck, eeew.
I think the whole "puritanical" view of sex is definitely a huge factor. When I was in my twenties, I worked in a movie theater in an area that was full of redneck idiots. I'd constantly have people coming by with their kids and asking if a film had any nudity....movies like "Marked For Death". When I'd tell them no, there is no nudity, but the film is full of intense violence not appropriate for their five year-old, every time they'd reply with "oh, that's okay. They see that all the time, I just don't want them seeing any sex stuff". I was baffled then, and I'm baffled now.I think we might often find, if we are truly honest with ourselves, that it has more to do with 'The West' having a very Puritanical view of sex that has ingrained itself in society so strongly that it can even impact those of us that are less/not religious.
I get this is just being funny, but I'm not sure there is an equivalence here. Or maybe I'm just not getting where you're coming from on this. The whole thing with Kitty & Illyana is rooted in comic book plot devices like magic, time travel, demons, etc.I can only hear
Are they cheap? I'm pretty sure I picked up extras from the website for like $10-15 earlier this year.So I walk into Walmart a couple days ago and the Hasbro island is chock full of Retro carded Quicksilvers! Wasn't expecting that. I wish it would happen with Hydra Cap too!
my theory on this is he probably grew up with Adam West and Yvonne Craig, so like. yeah if that's a big moment in your growing up, i get itUgh. As much as I love the whole DCAU, Timm's quest to have Bruce and Barbara together is SO gross, and so out of character for both of them. Yuck!
