General Marvel Legends

The two Mystiques Target lost on Sunday popped back up as available - shocker - so I was able to successfully pick them up today. Both have bad paint on their faces. Disappointing.

Anyone else notice that the figure pictured on the back is once again not the item in the plastic? The pictured figure - and illustrated image - have the hair from the VHS Mystique, which is the version I really wanted them to re-release instead of the Walgreens hair.
 
2025 is probably one of my bigger years with Legends in awhile. So far, I've purchased:

I'm also in on three made-to-order figures: Sentinel, Mephisto, and Apocalypse though only one is obviously delivering in 2025. I've been happy with most of them too. I'd say Iceman and Logan are both kind of underwhelming while Silver Samurai is one I would not have purchased if I didn't have to in order to get Wolverine. I did pay sale prices for Professor X and the Cap/Venom two-pack while the rest were full price purchases. I also only got the 97 Jubilee to spruce up the older figure. Probably not my smartest purchase, but I do prefer the end result to the older Jubilee I had.

Coincidentally, I also procured 28 figures in 2024, yet with almost twice as many discounts.
And in 2023 I procured a whopping 31 figures with even MORE at discount prices and many at 50% off when Target put all that Avengers anniversary product on clearance.
 
Is there a list of figures on certain bucks anywhere? Im just wondering which figures use the amazing Fantasy buck.
by my count its Amazing Fantasy, Amazing Friends, Hellfire Gala, 2 animated versions, Secret Wars and the new Black Costume Spidey. Are there any others?

I went through the 2025 Marvel Legends figures on Legendsverse and I bought 93 of them this year. It would be far easier to list what I didn't buy.

Legends is my primary line but I also bought an absolute ton of DC Multiverse, Joe Classified and TMNT stuff this year (among lesser expenditures on other lines), so I spent way too much money on this hobby in 2025. I probably bought more DC Multiverse than Legends even but I haven't counted those yet. I'm actually pretty disgusted with how much money I let myself spend in 2025. The vast majority I haven't even opened.

My goal for 2026 is to only mostly buy brand new never before made characters and really try to limit any re-do's or updates to the bare minimum going forward where the updates are extreme upgrades over what came before. I've got to stop buying these updates just because they're now pinless or whatever. I also plan on trimming my collection back down to just one version of each character.

I bought pretty much every release except for maybe a couple of the reissues... we aren't counting those right? I got a lot of multiples as well... actually scared to count up how many figures I actually got in 2026.
 
The Scream Man’s list is a lot closer to what a typical year of Marvel Legends purchases used to look like for me. I miss those days. I refer to them as the “Cool Toy Days”.

I think I made a semi-conscious decision that I’m only buying 616 figures moving forward, and only 616 figures of characters/looks that I don’t already have or that I’m unsatisfied with for some reason. A lot of that is driven by knowing that I’ll likely be retiring (and subsequently downsizing) at sone point in the next six years.
