So I feel like we finally need to start a thread like this ever since the Mondo Two face just dropped not even 12hours ago at the time of this post . And also the Hot Toys Batman Returns 2.0 figure is scheduled to hit sometime within the next 30-60 days. I’m especially looking forward to that one. I already paid for it in full.

So yeah feel free to post news regarding any 1/6th scale figures that happen to be dropping.

This reminded me that I have the Mondo Clayface that's been sitting in a box since I got it. I need to crack that baby open. Two Face looked great, but I just can't open the Pandora's Box of the Mondo line beyond the two I already have.

I am really looking forward to the Scarecrow 2.0 from Hot Toys. Oooh, baby, gimme gimme!

I'm in the same position. He's the box on the bottom of other boxes. If I never open it I can never be a hostage to the Mondo Batman line (despite my ordering TwoFace this week)

Hot Toys Superman arrived this week. Opened for a quick quality check and he looks fantastic. Gonna be a long wait now for Christmas.

I’ve been on a hot toys tear lately. I picked up nearly every single Michael Keaton Batman figure off of second hand sites and sideshow. I wouldn’t have done this under normal circumstances but between Neca, Mezco, McFarlane, beast kingdom and even back to the Kenner days, I’ve never had a truly solid representation of the Keaton era of Batman in my collection and I wanted something good. Especially after receiving the McFarlane Batman Returns wave. That line has left me a little miffed. So I bought the 1989 2.0, the Batman Returns Batman/Bruce Wayne 2-pack, the 2.0 of Batman returns with the glider and the 2023 figure from the flash. The only things I did not pick up or even consider is the Batmobile from Hot Toys and the 1/6th scale Batwing from Blitzway (I think that’s the company that made that)

Those are some damn nice pickups right there. I'm waiting for OneSixthKit to invoice me for Returns 2.0, did you see those blogger photos? Wow. Chef's kiss

I also have the Flash Keaton, he's wonderful too. Your post doesn't mention if you've ventured into 3rd party stuff or not, but if you're a fan of the 90's Batman films alongside Keaton then you should take a look at the stuff Mars Toys is putting out. Their "Mr. W" is tuxedo-clad Keaton from B89, complete with his reading glasses. They have "Old Housekeeper" (Gough Alfred), as well as multiple versions of Nicholson Joker, Tommy Lee Jones Two Face, and Carrey's Riddler.

I haven’t picked up anything from Jazzinc or Mars toys. I’m not entirely ready to venture into the 3rd party market because the results can be hit and miss. And I’m not willing to spend $300 or more on a preorder that might have no ROI in terms of my enjoyment

That's fair.

Yeah. I might consider it one day. I don’t think I’ll hold onto these opinions forever. But I only really just started collecting Hot Toys out of necessity. I already had the Batman Forever set for about two years now but that’s for decoration after I put together a Batman bookcase. I needed something thematic to pair with the book case so I chose those figures as well as a couple of Kotobukia statues.

Yeah, I totally get you. And especially considering the prices, one has to really know what they're getting.

Not all 3rd party companies are equal, but I would say Mars seems to be just about the best one (in my opinion). If Hot Toys is Mezco One:12, Mars is Mafex. Not a perfect analogy, but you probably get it. They have wonderfully tailored clothing, excellent head sculpts, great accessories, and in most cases under $200. I enjoy them mostly because they do characters that Hot Toys will probably not touch. Or at least not touch for a good long while. If they would incorporate movable eyes into all of their figures, they'd be almost perfect.

Feel I need to add that JazzInc isn't 3rd party. They're not as big a name as Hot Toys or InArt but they are officially licensed. Excited for their animated Batman figure, the recent prototype of the animated body looked really good.

If Jazzinc is officially licensed to work on DC products then why do they use code names for their products like “Cat lady” and “Gentleman of Crime” in order to describe Catwoman and the Penguin?

Gentlemen of Crime and Cat Lady are both from Eternal Toys. JazzInc has an officially licensed Pfeiffer Catwoman coming in '26, and I think they've announced their officially licensed Penguin, as well.
