General Marvel Legends

The Steve Evans cameo was weird and overly drawn out. I couldn't decide if he was there because the Iron Man 3000 figure was his idea or just because he was afraid Dwight and Dan wouldn't know how to sell it, but my guess was both.

I also wondered if he was introducing himself so the fans got used to seeing him and he intends to be on future streams since he's been a manager on the Legends and Star Wars teams for years. He's had his own Youtube channel for a few years that he's recently been posting to a lot more so maybe he wants more time in front of the camera.

I thought Kitty crushing on Peter/Piotr was handled well, not crazy for a 14 year-old girl to crush on a 19 year-old, and they didn't have him try to take advantage of it or seem to be grooming her as I recall. I though it was all pretty innocent and nicely setting up the possibility for the future or it just being a crush she got over. They also aged her fairly quickly (in comic book terms) as she was supposed to be 18 I thought by the time Excalibur happens (7 years after she first appeared).

After watching that segment of the stream, did you walk away thinking he had any idea how to sell that himself?

Is this not the same Kitty to Yana age gap if you remove Limbo time shit.

Also she crushed on him, would always fall on him, even kissed him over mistletoe she set up. I always recall him being respectful and keeping distance until Astonishing.
Yeah, it's all weird!

Though there's that weird part post secret wars where I think colossus is fighting juggernaut at a bar and like, there was like complaints about how kitty was acting towards him and logan was like:

"Hey bub, you kind of abandoned her on battleworld for that other lady"

Its all wild and weird. But in mynheart i know kitty is a messy lil lesbian and i respect her for it

Unfortunately, Whedon's Kitty/Piotr scene fell into his usual trappings.
Whedon is such a mixed bag for me. I found that scene a bit cringe as well as the scene where Wolverine is creeping at the foot of Cyclops and Emma's bed, butt hurt that a grown man is choosing to move on with his life after his wife died. That's.....none of your business, Wolverine.

Don't like "his" Justice League movie but I don't know how much you can fault him there. His style is polar opposite of Snyder. That blame gets put squarely on the studio. (He did insert a Flash/Wonder Woman "face-in-boobs" sight gag that I personally think fell flat and that Gal Gadot refused to film. Maybe just stay away from the sexual stuff, Whedon?)

I do think his Avengers movie is iconic and it will always have a special place in comic movie history because of what it was able to pull off. Franchises have been chasing that, trying to do "their" version ever since.
