General Marvel Legends

No interest in pink Iron Man or MCU figures (that Cassandra Nova finger-head thing is cool though). As stated earlier, I've never liked GR with a red bike. I might get Grizzly, if he goes to a deep clearance price. I'm still rocking the ToyBiz Abomination and see no reason for that to change. Kitty and Colossus are a sure bet, for me. A decent showing, just not one that interests me greatly.

Speaking of Illyana, I wanted to see the rumored Secret Wars Magik figure today.

That's alright, I'll settle for the Kitty/Colossus two-pack, easily my second-most anticipated item on the leak list.

Kitty's fists are TINY! Her floaty belt already annoys me. And it is ridiculous to keep releasing this terrible Lockheed. Give us a new version, or a flying version, or one that doesn't suck and can actually stay put. Also, every bit of piping on these costumes is sculpted EXCEPT her boots. Course.

Her hair-down head looks like Niki from She-Hulk. Maybe that head would be a good start for a Jennifer Walters figure!!

Also, why won't they ever do anything with her powers? Even just an alternate lower torso that's flat so it looks like she's rising up from the shelf and her upper torso snaps into it?

Yep. I agree with all of this, along with the other criticisms from this thread.

My biggest issues with Kitty are the head, belt, and boot paint. I'm not sure I like either head sculpt, but I definitely don't like the ponytail head. I can kind of make out Cassaday in it, but it's too stoic/lifeless. The belt is an annoyance. The boots look out of place and cheap.

I agree that Colossus is too vibrant. Honestly, seeing this figure made me realize that shirtless Outback Colossus is the best Colossus.

I'm still slamming the pre-order button the second this set goes live. I cannot fucking wait to throw my Juggernaut wave Kitty in the trash.

Nothing else for me even though Cassandra Nova, Blade, and Ghost Rider look great.
 
I think the only ones I'm down for here are the Kitty/Colossus 2 pack and movie X-23. Might have gone deeper with the DP movie stuff but these prices are going to negate that. Don't really want to think about what the Kitty/Colossus set will cost since Colossus is slightly bigger than an average figure.
 
I had a custom painted head done on the original Kitty Pryde ponytail head that came out gorgeous. I am hopeful it looks proportional on the new body. If not, I must say that they absolutely NAILED the long hair headsculpt. It looks very similar to the art from that comic book. (Loved that series but I do agree the women’s faces were drawn rough)

I don’t consider the line complete until we get Cassandra Nova, an updated Danger, and Ord. I feel like I never see Ord on any sort of wishlist.

How are you going to leave out Armor?

Speaking of Armor, she just used Kitty's outfit (complained about Kitty's long arms). If anyone just wants Colossus, I'll happily buy Kitty off anyone to customize Armor for myself.

That is definitely how he was drawn for YEARS in the GR books. A tight fitting, theatrical motorcycle outfit, thick white neck, buff like most of the heroes were drawn in that time period.

Because if you look at this page right here his look seems to change a lot depending on the artist and era. In other words, the Sal Buscema Abomination is somewhat different than the Herb Trimpe version which in turn is slightly different than the Gil Kane version.

That picture is exactly what I'd want from an Abomination figure. I MAY get this release, but I'd really prefer something much more classic in appearance.

THAT is my GR. I'm really happy we're finally getting this costume/bike look! It's the only one of the reveals that I'm definitely planning on buying.

Understandable. As @Fletch said, it might have worked better with the "engine" parts being a darker red. I may try my hand at this, or at least apply a darker wash to those areas to give it some definition.

I'm on board for this. Always thought Piotr and Kitty was borderline creepy. I get that Colossus was a fairly young man when Kitty joined, so it really wasn't completely inappropriate...but it really was close to being so. I think some of that is Kitty seemed younger than she actually was in the early days, due to her being very naive and sheltered before joining the X-Men. Kitty and Illyana seems more wholesome somehow, as does the idea of Kitty & Rachel.

Considering she is my #2 most wanted figure, idk how I forgot her. 😂 I would expect her to be some sort of statue. A very difficult toy to engineer, but she would have such great shelf presence!

yeah, i mean, Piotr was at least 18, and Kitty famously had like a 13th birthday party?! so it's uh...yikes.

also Kitty is often written and drawn to be enamored with women, lol
