The character Checkpoint's real name is Wayne R Sneeden III, whose father was part of a top-secret anti-terrorist unit <winkwinknudgenudge>.

Peter Chung did a lot of the character design, and directed the opening credits. He also created Aeon Flux.
 
Checkpoint can't be Beachhead's son if we get that figure - the age gap doesn't work for my display ... but he can be a younger brother. Shared universe achieved

He also used to do character design and storyboards for Ninja Turtles I believe
 
I think they teased Dr. Bad Vibes robot at one point? It's been awhile and like, 9000 things happen a day now so it feels like decades.

I ordered Bulletproof too! I really hope they go further with other COPS and Crooks characters. My most wanted is Buttons McBoomboom. I'd love Longarm, Bowser/Blitz, Mace, Mainframe, Big Boss, Dr Badvibes, Berserko, and Ms Demeanor.
 
Since I'll mostly be integrating these into my Joe displays the villains are all a tad goofy, though a well crafted Hyena or Koo Koo would be welcome.

But I'm all in for the likes of Taser, Bowzer and Blitz, Nightstick, Highway, Bullit, Barricade, Checkpoint...

I'd be happy to get all of 'em
 
For the COPS the characters I want most are Highway, Barricade (mainly because I want the big blue translucent riot shield) and Bowser and Blitz (mainly because I want the robot dog)

For the Crooks I mainly want Big Boss and Buttons McBoomBoom.

So, hopefully they can keep the line going. It would be cool if at the very least they could make all of the Wave 1 COPS and Crooks figures. But whatever they let out, I'll get it and support them and the line.

Have they announced any other characters yet?

I'm not collecting the line so I haven't been paying too much attention. However it seems like they are taking an awfully long time to only have one figure release which doesn't inspire too much confidence in me as to how long they can go with this line.
