No intro. Let’s get in to Toys, Tunes and Beer. Finally. Feral. She’s been tops on my need list forever. I’m an unabashed 90s X-Force fan, and have been working on my team for a while now. I’m still rocking that 2018 Cable and Domino. We need some updates for them asap. Back to Feral. A simple figure, but she doesn’t need a ton of accessories. She has extra hands, and that’s it. Those went in a bin though. She’s keeping the claws. Right out of the packaging the articulation was smooth. She hits a great crouching pose easily (and stays!). Head sculpt is great. The big “mane” of hair isn’t over exaggerated like it’s drawn sometimes. The colors are spot on to her comic appearances. I could use a little more sculpted fur in spots, but it’s not a killing point for me. I’m more than happy to have her now though. My team is finally complete…for now.
@fidensbrewing Blueprint IPA. Brewed with Citra, Rakau, and Motueka hops (two are NZ). A fairly citrus forward beer, with some grapefruit bitter at the end. Some herbalness to it, but nothing too overpowering. I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it. Fidens may be my favorite NY brewery, and I’ll keep drinking their stuff until I can’t.
@snapcaseband is one of the “big three” 90s hardcore bands (
@earthcrisisofficial and
@strife_la being the others), that I’ve been listening to since they were new. This album is a masterpiece though. Beginning to end is a nonstop musical assault to all of your senses. One of the tightest sounding bands I can think of. Every guitar riff is met with an accentuating drum beat. The power behind it all leaves me speechless. Snapcase is another band I was lucky to have seen live back in the day (yes with Chris in Albany). I can still remember the build up their opening chant “Incarnation!” It just blew up from there. This album sits easily in my top five hardcore albums of all time.
Overall ratings. Figure 5:5. Beer 4.25:5. Album 5:5.
