Stupid question time: Hiya Joes&Treks shoulder-swapping?

Howdy, all;
Apologies if this is common knowledge I've missed but I know the Hiya Star Trek dudes I've gotten so far have pop'em ball joints inserting their shoulders into their torsos. I've only 3 Hiya COBRAs so far and haven't risked them yet to see if they have a similar ball joint deep in there and whether the two lines are insta-swappable at that joint? Do I just need to yank harder at Bludd to mimic the reason he's got the cyberarm in the first place?

I don't think I've ever owned a single Hiya figure, to be honest. The Joes looked okay but not enough for me to get any. I'm pretty commited to the 6" Joes at this point. And I've already sold off my entire 25A/Modern Era collection. I do NOT need to be getting back into 1:18 Joes in addition to Classified, that's for sure.
