Day #429 - Black Widow (alternate costumes)

Would I buy? YES!
Which version? Classic 1970s, 60s fishnets, Iron Man 2 are the priorities. 1st appearance in the dress, hat, veil and fur would be a total blast.

Ok, for all my rantings about Moondragon, Firebird, Mantis and in years and sites past Hellcat, Black Widow is actually my favorite Marvel heroine.

Beamish insight: we don't have the quintessential Black Widow yet. This is what I want:
1970s catsuit
Super articulated body
Hair bump
Gold zipper and pull ring on the "turtleneck"
GOLD belt with the cartridges on the back, not cheap-ass yellow plastic

This is the first comic book I remember reading. One of my older brothers' hand-me-downs.
Right in the middle of the Korvac Saga... makes sense, huh?
This is the Widow I want.

OK... Acolytes - yes sure. Cortez needs at least a little back up. Senyaka seems most likely simply because he's visually interesting and had a 5 inch figure. But I'd take an Amelia Vogt, and ifbthey released Kleinstock they could probably get dorks like me to buy two or three to have the brothers.

I'd rather have Cargill in her Frenzy persona personally though.. I'd buy Colossus in his Acolytes outfit for sure.

As for Black Widow... I think I'm mostly all set. I've got great versions of her in the black suit with the long hair and the grey suit with the short hair and now the Crossing outfit... I would buy her in that first appearance costume probably but I don't need it.

I'd buy any of the Widows they want to make, but special shout out to that Journey into Mystery cover. I don't know why, but it's always struck me as great.

Would absolutely pick up the blue, fishnet costume. Also likely the George Perez look from the first two pictures. Otherwise, I agree with others, Natasha has plenty of figures, I'd rather have never done characters.

I think Nat falls into the same category for me as Wolverine, Spider-Man, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Battle Cat, and Snake Eyes. I have enough. I don’t need more. I will still just keep buying variations because I love the character.

There aren't many Black Widow figures I'd say no to, but I consider her first costumed/Pre-Romita Sr. look to be my most wanted Black Widow look as of right now.
