One A Day 2.0: Day #332 - Flash Thompson

Omega the Unknown

Name seems accurate....but seriously, interesting character but probably wouldn't buy.

I'll be honest, I wish the world for Micronauts fans to get their chance, but the only one I'd buy is Bug, and only either in his GotG look or as an easy part swap custom to get him close enough for the shelf.
This for me as well. I hope you all get the Micronauts you want, but I'd probably pass on most of them.

No clue who Omega is, pass.

Omega The Unknown is honestly kind of a big want for me. Love Steve Gerber's wild 70s stuff, and this book was way ahead of its time by playing with tropes and expectations for comic book heroes. Not sure where I'd put him, maybe just on a Bronze Age shelf with Spider-Woman, Nova, Shang-Chi, etc.

Omega was gone before I even knew of him. For years he was nothing more than a Handbook entry of a character I’d never read.

I got the collection of his series, but honestly still haven’t read it. That being said, I’d be in for a figure if made.

Makes sense. Pretty sure the Defenders story that finally explained him made him and the kid connected to him (James-Michael Starling) both aliens. so he'd fit in a Marvel aliens display or shelf.

Yes to Omega the Unknown…I really like the character design. The book itself was somewhat…troubling…for me as a young reader…as most Steve Gerber books were. One of my favorite comic book moments of all time? When Gerber left the Defenders and that damn elf with a gun was hit by a truck shortly thereafter.

Day #330 - Hulkling

Would I buy? YES!
Which version? I'd want a hybrid version of the sleek costume from the Empyre cover in picture #5, adding in a removable cape from any of the Emperor Hulking looks. He also needs to come with removable wings.

Young Avengers and Monsters boxsets updates - what is the hold up, Hasbro?
I'm really surprised Hasbro hasn't done a Hulkling/Wiccan 2-pack. It's a perfect pairing and would sell well.

Uh, sure to Omega. Not a priority, but he's right in my wheelhouse for the era I collect, so I'd find space for him.

It would be fun if we got enough of these weirdo/ orphan characters who don't really fit especially well into any major corner of the universe to justify a dedicated "Marvel Spotlight/ Premiere/ Etc." type-shelf with the likes of Omega or Deathlok (who I also have no idea where to put).

Since Beamish updated the thread while I was writing this, pass on Hulkling. Hope those who want him get him, but the Young Avengers have never clicked for me as a team or as individual characters.
