I've started a new modding project wherein I paint the parts of my figures that I feel should have been painted by the factory, or that I feel would just make the figures pop more, or for more accuracy than the original paint jobs. For the most part, this means hitting a bunch of sculpted rivets, rings and buckles with silver paint, almost exclusively on G.I. Joe Classified figures, but there will also be some more extensive paint mods peppered throughout, I'm sure.
I've decided to post the pictures that I have been taking of these paint mods for posterity and also to show off. Kicking off with my 2nd ever paint mod (the first was painting McFarlane 3 Jokers Batman's underwear black years ago), and one I am especially proud of, McFarlane Cyborg Superman.
I used some Artist's Loft Metallic Silver craft paint from Michael's to rectify the missing paint on his right thigh and left upper arm, and I used a standard black Sharpie to make his S symbol more like how it was portrayed in the comics. My success in this endeavor as only my 2nd mod has given me the confidence to do a lot more modding since, and into the future. I'll be posting all of my mods in this thread henceforth, including my big Classified project.
